Striker James Walshaw is the latest player to leave Darlington after joining Halifax on loan.  He joins Michael Brough, Greg Taylor and John Campbell in leaving with Exodus Geohagan likely to join Dagenham and Redbridge very soon.

Since joining the club in the summer Walshaw has failed to live up to the hype which had been generated.  After smashing the goals in regularly in the lower leagues it was hoped he could make the step up to full time football and the Blue Square Premier, but for all of his effort he never really managed to get on the scoresheet regular enough.

Former Darlo defender Neil Aspin, manager of Halifax, wanted Walshaw to sign for him in the summer but the 27 year old decided to give Darlo a chance.  With our recent financial problems Walshaw has decided to look elsewhere.  Good look to him.
