Fans Help Needed

fans help needed

Firstly, hope you all have a great day tomorrow.  Secondly the club are asking for fans help to clear the pitch of the recently fallen snow.  As Darlingtonians will know, a heavy fall occurred on Christmas Eve morning and as such it will need to be cleared before our bank holiday monday game against Lincoln City.

General Manager Phil Preston today said "Staff and volunteers have been working all week to clear snow off the pitch and surrounding areas, and they'd cleared the whole of the playing surface yesterday, while covers should help to keep the frost at bay."

"But more snowfall overnight means Darlington will need to clear the pitch again at the weekend, and are asking fans to come and help out from 9am on Sunday, with hot food throughout the day and free match tickets for forthcoming games up for grabs."

"We really need all the help we can get to clear the snow off again on Sunday. Everyone who has helped out so far have done a cracking job in giving Monday's game a fighting chance, but we've had a couple of inches overnight which means we need to clear it off again.

"The good thing is that we managed to get the covers down yesterday, which should protect the pitch from the frost, so the hardest work has already been done.

"We can really do without another postponed match so it's very important that we do everything we can to give it the best chance, and we desperately need fans to come and help us out again this Sunday to make that possible.

"Volunteers can be assured we'll look after them with hot food, drinks and soup throughout the day.

"If volunteers can bring snow shovels with them that would also be a big help!"

*a 9.30am pitch inspection will take place for our boxing day clash away at Rotherham

Why don't you get your arse down and say all this to his face if you hate the man that much. Or better still get to the ground and help out your arrogant prick.
