Here we go again, another tough game, lads in good form, just hope we can do it.
I expect a decent crowd today.
Come on Darlo 👍🙏

Got a feeling Tommy Taylor’s in. Other than that feels like we go with the same. Unless we stick salkeld up top a rivers comes in. Could do with Lawlor getting some minutes at some point too.

Young hasn't gone away yet has he?

I wouldn't be surprised if Gibson was brought into midfield as I thought that we were overrun on Tuesday in that area by Blyth. However, I don't know much about the lad but he has played a lot of games for Boro under 21s.

I heard he would only miss the Rushall match

First friendly is the 20th and last is the 25th so that would mean he'd only need to miss Rushall like you say.

This game has all the hallmarks of a massive banana skin to me. There is a sense of real expectancy among the fans, moderate opposition who have a couple of our ex players in their squad, and probably a decent crowd.
If we can win our next 2 games we will be very close to pulling off the great escape, but we are Darlo and we don’t ever make life easy for ourselves. However, I do have great faith in Steve and Terry, and I am hopeful that the players will be organised and have a plan in place to get a result today. Come on lads we’re on the final push now, brilliant effort of late, just keep going.

Perhaps you're right to sound a cautionary note Old Git, I had been feeling super confident about us winning today. All will be revealed by 5 o'clock today.

Still 0-0 but we have made a very wobbly start to the second half.

We would have lost that game over the last 12 months.
Watson is getting the best from this group of players and for some of them, we are seeing why Armstrong brought them in, Platt, Lees and Salkeld in particular

It’s a game we would probably have lost a couple of months ago. They are a big physical team in the Alfreton mould, not a great footballing side but horrible to play against. Well done to our lads for sticking at it and grinding out the win, for a massive 3 points.

Another massive win. Pleased we don’t have a match Tuesday and now we can get two training sessions in before the 6 pointer next week.

I see Bishop Stortford were relegated with 17 points today, 6 of which were gifted by us! Shows how far we have come in the last few months, Watson and Mitchell are doing an incredible job.

I hope we have at least one easy session this week, the players are looking leggy at times so I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t get worked too hard in both sessions.

Thought we were pretty poor until we scored, after that we looked far better. But I think a draw would have been a fairer result for a pretty decent Peterborough Sports team. The PA is rubbish especially in the tinshed, I never heard who was MOTM or the crowd announcement.

The PA needs sorting. If there was an emergency then nobody in the open end would hear anything about it.

Said a few weeks ago that we would need promotion winning results and we’ve only gone and done it!! Have to keep it going of course.

What SW and TM are doing is brilliant, but easier I guess when you have good footballing brains. There tactics and substitutions are winning us games. The change in keeping the ball when Barrow went left back was spot on and Lawlor won everything thrown at him. Rivers coming on allowed Salkeld to give us more physicality up front. Spot on decisions.

Think the change in form from likes of Lees, Griffiths and Platt is incredible and think Lees has been a bit of an unsung hero in recent games.

Aye I’d have thought so. Going off what Mitchell was saying in his interview last week I’d imagine one of them would classroom based watching videos of the opposition.

Had 0-0 written all over it, an absymal game but the lads did well to snatch the win. Massive 3 points. A nice gap between us and Rushall now. If we win next weekend then I think that's safety all but confirmed. Going to make the long drive down I think!

Yep, Cam Salkeld just keeps getting better as his confidence grows. Really needed someone up front to run at the opposition & get into the box then shoot. Another vital goal today.

21 points from the last 9 games

25 points from the previous 31 games

Incredible turnaround.

SW indicated that Tuesday will be a night off from training, good man management , give the lads a proper rest before being back in on Thursday, they deserve it after playing Tuesday Saturday for weeks 👍

Barrow

What a great player he is, he handled every situation, took numerous hits and IMO should have been MOTM.

Outstanding since he came in (other than the og ) 100% every game. Hopefully we get Watson & Mitchell sorted for next season. Closely followed by Barrow.
