Not one I saw coming. But in reality it's a part of the squad we have plenty of options with Platt, Hatfield, Lindley, Liddle. Though none of them being quite the creative player we need.

Yeah, moke is good and a popular player, but creative he ain't, and that's our issue at the moment

No problem with literally anyone leaving as they have all got us in this mess.
Gives SW more money, (saved wages), and a spot to fill if he can find the right body.

When he has been asked to play a more offensive role in a couple of games I have seen I thought Moke did well, even if his shooting isn't all that.

Moke gone

Not surprised. Not Watson type player imo. we started losing a lot of goals when Beck left and it was because Moke and Purver just couldn’t get a grip on games.

Moke isn't tough enough IMO. He can cruise around and look good in a good team, a quick lay off or inventive pass - but right now he's not much use to us.

Intrigued as to why he is no longer listed on our Squad page, Sukar is who is also out on loan. Windass and Asileiou still listed do they actually exist?

Nothing on the official sites there’s or ours, still nothing surprising anymore.

Quite interesting. Under Armstrong and Howling I’d agree a mass clear out was needed. Under Watson I’m not so sure. We’ll still need to swap out 5 or 6, but the improvement from lots of the squad warrants a bit more thought.

Quite happy with this as long as we get a replacement who is better i.e more creative and more physical and if this is Steve`s way of replacing players gradually as and when they become available good luck to him

What do you mean WTF?

He was part of one of the worst performing squads in decades.

Platt, Hatfield and Liddle are all better.

I'd agree. Suddenly the majority all seem good enough again.

I'm talking especially about the likes of Platt and Lees who lets be honest were poor until Watson came in. They look like new players now.

I thought that.

Unless I am mistaken there wasn't a single Gowling player who featured against Curzon Ashton?

It was Armstrong + Watson.

Proof enough to have him as one of the worst managers we have ever had.Cannot ever see him managing a club above NPL level, but if he manages to talk his way into a decent club then god help them.

Fair do to Tommy Wright who realized his managerial limitations and became a copper.
Gowling could become a children's party clown, he has got a head start.

Football throws more people out than it keep, but I'd never rule out anyone being able to get a good fit somewhere and it working out for a year or two...anything beyond that is a very long time in football.

I think Moke can do a job for us until the end of the season. In some ways having him back is like having a new signing.

Moke isn't the sort of player suited to a relegation battle.

I think he could still do ok until the end of the season, if we are winning a game, bring him on to keep the ball.

And there lies the problem, his game is all about moving the ball on quickly
