Revised Target for Season 2017 - 2018 ?

Post by Rufusuk » Sat Sep 16, 2017 5:18 pm

Some basic observations .

I have not seen any improved players joining the club this season.

In fact, most newcomers are below average.
Some of our recent 'stalwart players' are now being found out.

We will not make the play offs.

Therefore it is time to give the kids a decent run in the team.

There's no point in continuing with so many sub-standard players.
Invest in the future with the younger players.

Don't fudge the issue and get in some more (average) loan players or new players

We only need to sell 1 good player on and it will provide a major boost to our income. To prove he is a good young player he has to be given lots of games.

Nathan Stephenson and Joey Beauchamp starred again for the reserves today who won 8-1. Time to have a look?

We clearly need more energy/pace on the team but with some heart/skill as well, those kind of players are hard to find at any level.

A number of our current squad won't lead us forward and plans need to be made to move them on.

We are not ready for promotion in so many ways, on the pitch which is key but also off the pitch in many ways including the ground.

Which good player do you think we could sell on, I can't see a long queue of potential buyers given the way our team are playing at the moment.

Bring on the young players, so that one of them eventually gets sold on!

I do think Collins is a big improvement on what we had, but agree with the rest.

Wheatley, Vaulks and Saunders should feature. Focus on infrastructure and getting the seated stand and some much needed terracing built. Even just a couple of steps in some areas would make a huge difference.

Actually doing something in the Trophy should be an expectation. I'm livid about yesterday. That was so, so important.

How would two steps of terrace compute from a capacity perspective. My basic maths tells me we need minimum 4 to maintain capacity and maybe even 8-12 in the various undeveloped patches to attain NL grading.
