1964/5 season

Post by don'tbuythesun » Tue Jul 25, 2017 8:11 am

Some of you will have lived through this-I found a very thin old Darlington programme for Oxford United at home 26th October 1964. There are 37 adverts and it's only 10 pages! There are thanks to the supporters for their efforts away at Bradford City, 3-2 and a request for louder cheers at home with a picture of Ken Allison scoring against Millwall. It also advertises train travel to games, the fare from Middlesbrough is 3/6- that's about 17p. I'm curious to know if the H Harland decorators is related to Steve of MI fame?

Slightly off topic from what you're talking about, but I was up in Darlington this weekend and in the station it was great to see an A-Frame right by the ticket barriers with a big poster advertising our next few fixtures.

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.

Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.
