Time to give this one a shameless bump - and a good read for any newcomers who missed the thread first time.

Tonight is the biggest and brightest full moon of the year with an equally bright mars lurking slightly SW of the moon. Both are apparantly closer to the earth than we're ever going to see in our lifetimes.

Darlo Pete arranged for the team to get the day off today as a special holiday in honour!

GO MOON!!

Come to think of it, I don't recall seeing the moon for some time now. I'm looking out the window now and can't see it. Any updates?

I'm looking west. Maybe that's the problem. Or maybe they don't show the moon in my area.

I don't think you can choose where to look. ;) Pete recommends getting in the car and driving round looking for it :wtf:

i know his son was desperate to see the moon, but taking him to waltham is a bit extreme, considering its near Leicester

having said that, a quick search on google brings up this image when you search waltham - http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/place?hl= ... CAgQ8gEwAA

Pete is trying to confess that they crept up to the car, listened for a minute or so, then knocked on the window at exactly the right time - only to ask if they'd seen the moon

That sounds like some sort of dull euphemism. It suits Pete pretty well!

A high percentage of message board regulars have you on 'ignore' as you consistently talk shite so it was a worthwhile excercise.
