Shirt sponsor
Are we still looking for a shirt sponsor or have we accepted the offer from Evostik and if so is it a good deal financially ?

Shirt sponsor
Dennis said today that an announcement of a shirt sponsor may be announced Monday. Fingers crossed.
Re: Shirt sponsor
A deal has been done but cannot be announced yet, we need to do this properly. It won't be Evo-stick though.

Re: Shirt sponsor
We do have a kit sponsor but I don't think any announcement will be made until Thursday. I didn't think it was Monday but I could be wrong.
Let's be proud of what we have achieved, Darlington Football Club needs to survive so let's all be in this together because this is your club now and your club needs you.

Re: Shirt sponsor
Up until now we all thought that Evo-Stick would be the sponsors, unless our appeal was successful.Tori_Gill wrote:We do have a kit sponsor but I don't think any announcement will be made until Thursday. I didn't think it was Monday but I could be wrong.
Now, what has happened to change that? Has a better deal appeared on the scenes within the last couple of days, or have they pulled out for some reason?

No, we knew evo-stick had put a decent offer, we were never told they would definitely be the sponsorMikeinBlack wrote:Up until now we all thought that Evo-Stick would be the sponsors, unless our appeal was successful.Tori_Gill wrote:We do have a kit sponsor but I don't think any announcement will be made until Thursday. That was my take on it also.
They were seriously interested, but it was never a given!

The club where the darts championship is played?
Re: Shirt sponsor
So this would be their £10k investment? - That would be a shame because weren't they going to put that in anyway?, this way we'd miss out on an extra sponsor - hopefully the sponsorship deal is worth a little more.Quakerz wrote:Northern Echo
Re: Shirt sponsor
I never said it is the Northern Echo - it was a pure guess from me.dfc1883 wrote:So this would be their £10k investment? - That would be a shame because weren't they going to put that in anyway?, this way we'd miss out on an extra sponsor - hopefully the sponsorship deal is worth a little more.Quakerz wrote:Northern Echo
So until it is announced, who knows who it is, or why they are sponsors and how much it's worth?
Re: Shirt sponsor
Don't worry, I was just speculating too - more so for loanstars reaction to your original post than anything else.Quakerz wrote:dfc1883 wrote:I never said it is the Northern Echo - it was a pure guess from me.

You do have a keen knack of guessing correctly though don't you?
Re: Shirt sponsor
I do, yes
To be honest, The Echo seems an obvious choice. It's a way of re-justifying the money that they pledged before.
I honestly have no inside track, I've asked a couple of people and they aren't telling

Re: Shirt sponsor
What about Cummins or Cleveland Bridge?
Or do Cleveland Bridge still sponsor Darlington CB? I'm supposing they do.

My preference would be Darlington Building Society. Never had to explain which team I supported when wearing those shirts...

Well I hope it's Darlington Fudge Cakes.
Bit long tho' isn't it? Hmmm....abbreviate the "Fudge" and the "Cakes" and it'll fit luv-leh!

Shirt sponsor "Northern Echo"
Does that mean there will be no new money on top of the £10K already pledged ?
