So, if I'm looking at this correctly, we beat Farsley on Sat and we are mathematically safe as, regardless of what Blyth do in their last two games, Farsley won't be able to catch us.

That doesn't look too safe! I think the seats we left behind at Bishop would probably be a safer bet.

I also have a copy but have no memory of how/where I bought it. It’s great to have a photographic document of times gone by. Feethams seems like another world now. The memories (and smells) of playing there are fading in my aging brain. I think my favourite photo in the whole book is the one of the...

I certainly don’t think we’ll be looking to rotate/ rest players in the next few matches. We’re playing the same players every week, they’re in form, they are understand their roles and are continuing get results. No more Tuesday night games to go so we should be through the worst of it in terms of...

I also have a copy of this.

I just had another look at it about 2 weeks ago as I was sorting out some memorabilia I have on the garage.

Re: Darlington V Peterborough Sports

Next week reminds me of our game v Colchester in 89. Not win or bust, but certainly not lose. I say that because Bishops Stortford is one of their games in hand. 89 was roles reversed, as we were on an OK run, but Colchester was on a great run, and we crumbled under the pressure of the occasion. Wi...

City Go Nap as Quakers Halt Slump

Stumbled across my copy of the above doing a bit of a sort out the other day. Had completely forgotten I had it. It's a nice little item, 20 or so pages of b&w photos of match day scenes at Feethams and Bootham Crescent in the mid 80s. It was published to coincide with an exhibition by the photograp...

I don’t think this would be an issue if we weren’t sat in the relegation zone. Escape goat mentality.

No, I was at Doncaster for that.
What my dad, a Doncastrian, knows about football you can write on the back of a stamp in capitals. It comprises the fact that DFC's biggest defeat was 10-0 at Doncaster, 25 Jan 1964.

Might be a daft question, but if we did manage a draw, does it go straight to penalties or is there a replay ? Straight to pens after 90 mins. Guessing Martin Gray must be up there for the best first 10 games. I remember we lost at Guisborough fairly early on that season, but otherwise made a cracking start to the season. I know it was the Northern League, but don’t forget he had to start from scratch.

I know it's now 35 years old but I struggle to see Glanford Park as a "proper old ground". That phrase always makes me think of Feethams, Bootham, Edgar Street etc rather than Glanford, Bescot etc
