Trust Roll Call
by Scott Thornberry - 30th May 2012

The Darlington Supporters Trust are now regrouping and rebuilding. To aid the Trust we at Uncovered would like to publicise the fact that they are trying to get members e-mail address.
To help us to communicate with members more effectively, including balloting, we would appriciate it if any members of the Trust could confirm their current email address to membership@darlotrust.org with their full name and postal address, we will then update our membership detals accordingly.
This evening they released the following statement on www.darlotrust.org
Last night (29th May 2012), the newly appointed board members met to co-opt an additional 3 members to enable
the board to move forward in serving the Darlington Supporters Trust.
The 4 elected members were appointed in the following positions:
* Neil Raper (Secretary / Vice Chairman)
* John Tempest (Fundraising)
* Steve Stringer Calvert (Tresurer)
* Paul Taylor (Public Events)
The 3 Co-opted members were appointed to the following positions:
* Doug Embleton (Chairman)
* Mark Adams (Membership Secretary)
* Paul Colman (Board Member)
Also appointed as an advisor:
* Lee Dixon
As a Trust board we will be looking to strengthen the board in due course once we have allowed new members enough
time to reach the current ruling of 6 months continuous membership to be elected to the board.
Now that the Trust has an active board we are in the process of completing a handover from the previous board
to enable us to become fully operational.
Once we have all the required information, we will ballot the Trust membership to decide if and how to best invest
funds currently in the care of the Trust, into Darlington Football Club.
This whole process will be carried out within any deadlines that DFC 1883 are working to.
To help us to communicate with members more effectively, including balloting, we would appriciate it if any
members of the Trust could confirm their current email address to membership@darlotrust.org
with their full name and postal address, we will then update our membership detals accordingly.
We appreciate your patience whilst we carry out this process and we can assure you that we are doing our
utmost to complete this as quickly as possible.

Another shout out to members of the Trust to update details and specifically email addresses. It is vital that these are updated ASAP to ensure the Trust can contact it's members as fast as possible and cost effectively.Fibonacci0112358 - 1st June 2012 13:47:13
I have updated my details and have received an acknowledgement email from the trust.Lincolnshire_Quaker - 1st June 2012 16:48:24
Somehow the membership number on my card and the one they had on file didn't match up. So, vital everyone contacts them so that all details are confirmed correct and members are matched to their database ....... when it comes to a vote it will be essential!

Re-joined in December with a hefty donation added, just found out that my membership lapsed in February. Very strange.super_les_mcjannet - 1st June 2012 21:50:27
Bizarre, did you reply back tinshedender and do you know if this is being looked into at the moment.
tinshedender - 2nd June 2012 08:36:06
The guy from the trust who has just contacted me, said that the membership registerhanded to him by the previous board indicated that my membership lapsed this February.
This despite me re-joining in the middle of December 2011.
Have replied and I hope this is being looked into.
The word conspiricy was used in a previous post.

I only joined in January yet apparently they had a different address down for me.Conspiracy or just shocking admin?

Conspiracy or just shocking admin?
Probably the latter. Good to see some proactivity from the new board, looking at ways they can communicate better and faster with members, rather than the lost lot who seemed to demand that their members chased them for information.
