Words cannot describe how devastated I am tonight, despite all the brave talk of "we'll be alright, we'll start again, it's for the best", the realisation comes that there is no coming back from this.

Darlo_H - 5th January 2012 23:13:00

This really is it lads, the fat lady is ready for Saturday and the curtain call is fast approaching.

And even despite the obvious sadness, I still managed a smile at 2:02.

Yeah got it to work in the end. Was that Marco scoring a ludicrously good goal straight from second half kickoff down at Orient in the middle of that piece?

Can you really not make Barrow mate?

Dn1 - 5th January 2012 23:28:07

I am honestly struggling to think of something to say here. I honestly can't.

screaminscull - 5th January 2012 23:31:00

Superb , my heart sunk watching all those memories it has hit me now devastated.

No, two reasons, 1) the wife is working Saturday evening, 2) With this in mind, I donated the money I would have spent going to Barrow to the players fund.

Also, I really don't think I can face it.

mikkyx - 5th January 2012 23:51:40

Had tears in my eyes watching that. Then my girlfriend had to come upstairs from having a shower and bloody play it again didn't she! :(

Spyman - 5th January 2012 23:54:16

You can tell Wainy made it, he's in half the bloody clips! Great run from him in the snow to set up a goal for Giallanza(?). Shame there's no clips of super saves by Collett or Russell over the years.

Great to watch, but surprised there's no clip of Chris Senior at Wembley in May.

Really really gutted now.

Also, for this reason, I won't be going to Barrow.

I never want experience what I did last sunday when Gateshead scored again, I imagine it will be much worse at the final whistle on saturday.

Sanctimonius - 6th January 2012 01:00:28

Thanks for the meories, Wainy, and thanks for this reminder of them. We've had some fantastic players and some fantastic moments. Sadly this feels like a commemoration more than anything else.

Franztastic - 6th January 2012 01:39:19

That Martin Smith volley against Lewes, my word.

Hilly - 6th January 2012 01:49:36

That Wainy run in the snow was fantastic!

Sometimes my job has me near to tears. Here I am at work ... I have just watched that awesome awesome tribute and now I am in tears. Why are we suffering like this???????

Sure was Mullet, and what a goal it was, I had never seen it since the actual game. Shame the bastards nicked it in the last minute like!

On a wider note, what a video, wish I hadn't watched it now as I am about to start work and am in no state to do so!

fanforlife - 6th January 2012 13:54:50

what fantastic memories . they may take everything else but they will never take away 45 years of memories spent following the club that i love . somebody please save our historic football club.

quakerray - 6th January 2012 14:04:50

It was to Simon Johnson. I remember thinking how unstoppable he was after that goal... He was dropped for the next game, always underrated our Wainy!

banktop - 6th January 2012 14:37:04

God how much i miss feethams :(

You may end our club but you never take away our memories.

Darlo until we die
