UNCOVERED SPONSORSHIP
Last season a group of Uncovered members clubbed together to sponsor a players kit and this season we'll be looking to do the same. The cost for sponsoring a kit is £200 and for that you get:
• Your name in the programme next to your player
• Your name on the official website on the player's profile page
• An invitation to the players' sponsors evening at the end of the season
• The shirt, signed and presented to you by your player
Ideally we'd be looking at either 10 people paying £20 each, or 20 people paying £10 each. As usual we'll raffle off the prize between all those that have stumped up the cash to sponsor the player, and the player will be sponsored under the name of Darlo Uncovered.
Home kits currently available to sponsor for the following players:
Gareth Waite
Jamie Chandler
Chris Moore
Curtis Main
Paul Arnison
John McReady
Corey Barnes

- Sponsorship Update
Thanks for the great response, it has now been confirmed that Darlo Uncovered will be sponsoring Jamie Chandler's home kit for the 2010/11 season. As people wanted to donate different amounts into the scheme, i thought it best to divide the sponsorship up into £10 lots, and assign people 1 or 2 lots depending on how much they pledged. This wil be used when doing the draw for who will attend the end of season presentation and who will receive the signed shirt.
A few people had mentioned raffling the shirt and donating the money to charity, but i'll let the eventual winner decide what they want to do with it.
I've paid the full amount this morning, so i'll be contacting everyone soon to collect.

I know the club have really been pushing the sponsorship over the last couple of weeks as our box full of people has just done a deal for 3 players - i havent a clue who they are mind.
We could always sponsor an away kit if none of those are appealing?! - divas - 20th July 2010 10:10:23

Gareth Waite
Jamie Chandler
Chris Moore

I think you'll find that loan players haven't been included yet.
- divas - 20th July 2010 10:45:04
- I can ask the question about Hatch, but potentially he may only be here until Jan.

I've just bagged Ian Miller's away shirt - I sponsored him last season as well.
Asked Phil Preston about loanees and he said he will give me an answer tonight. It appears that the club had originally decided not to include loan players this season because it got so messy with all the short term deals last season. This time the players are on a decent 6 month stretch (at least) - so it sounds as though they might be available to sponsor but with a caveat that you "might" have to shift to someone else later in the season.
BTW This season tracksuits, kit bags and boots can also be sponsored for £30/30/50 respectively - so there is extra scope there. - beatroute66 - 20th July 2010 11:14:00
- Count me in - happy to stick twenty sheets down if numbers aren't nearer 20.
Moore, Waite or Chandler for me, please. - feethams - 20th July 2010 11:34:00

- Don't forget that it is £200 plus VAT...
- mrcoops1984 - 20th July 2010 12:09:37
- Who's starting the collections then? If it's £200 plus VAT, we will need 11 members then!

You'd still be short... - Spyman - 20th July 2010 12:19:25
- You'd need £35 extra to cover the VAT.
- divas - 20th July 2010 12:34:21
- i can handle the collection - prob best way to do it is by bank transfer, or i'll be at the game on friday.
will just leave it a little while longer until we get at least 12 people interested and then i'll PM details. - mrcoops1984 - 20th July 2010 12:40:24

- Count me in-but I'll have to pay by bank transfer. I'm working in Macedonia and won't be back home until 1st August.
- mrcoops1984 - 20th July 2010 12:43:42
- Can the Supporter's club help us with this? for example, if we want to pay by bank transfer to transfer it to the supporters club who can then pay the club? Or would this just confuse matters?

I was only pulling your leg, but yeah we definitely need to transfer the money into one account and then into the club's account. As i say i'm willing to co-ordinate, but if anyone else wants to volunteer themselves then i'm happy to do so.
Once we have enough interested parties, i'll sort the sponsorship with Phil from my own money then come debt collecting, if people would rather do it that way? - wylam_rangers - 20th July 2010 14:14:23

Just a thought. Uncovered could set up a PayPal account for all sorts of things (not only this) No need to make new arrangements for every bright idea and everyone's money is protected. - divas - 20th July 2010 14:15:02

- Okay, i think we're not too far away - some only pledging £10 so we need another 2 or 3 people - roll up roll up!!
When we do the draw for the shirt, those that have put £20 in will get 2 tickets in the hat, those who put £10 in will get 1 ticket.
Unless anyone has any objections/better ideas?
People i have so far - if you can let me know whether you want to put £20 or £10 in:

Im still waiting on final clarification from a few people ive PM'd to see how much they are willing to part with, at the moment its looking like we'll need more people just to sponsor one tho
Come on people, Hereford got 50 people to chip in on their board - we cant be having a team managed by Simon D***y outdoing us

- I am happy to chip in but away until 16th August. Happy to make up the shortfall for first shirt or make a "substantial" contribution to second. Probably prefer Waite but not massively bothered who although perhaps a bit twitchy anout Terry.
