DARLO 0 SUNDERLAND 1

Darlo 0 Sunderland 1

Both Darlington and Sunderland fielded strong line ups with Mark Cooper giving outings to Tommy Wright and Liam Hatch.  Further new signings including Jamie Chandler and Dominic Werling were also on show.  The Black Cats also fielded the likes of Darren Bent, Frazer Campbell, Lee Cattermole and a strange hairstyle wearing Kieran Richardson.

For the majority of the game Darlington matched Sunderland although the Black Cats were the ones creating the chances.   But some solid defending and Sunderland not having the killer touch was enough to keep us in the game.

A late goal though was enough to sink The Quakers but it was a performance to be encouraged by, Sam Russell in goal being a particular highlight.

Fortunately I have better things to do with my Saturday nights than write a full in depth report. I spent 45 mins sorting out the photos!

I was about to stick up for you Scott, I am sure you couldnt be arsed to write a full report at 20.30 ish on a Saturday night and have stuff to do.

Scott I see that Les Hodge took the photos, I thought the club had ended his involvement at the club? Anyway I hope that this means that Les is still involved at the club on matchdays.

bit touchy there divas, actually, our book is sold out and has been for quite a few years now, ive always been told that if a jobs worth doing, its worth doing to the best of your ability - and that match report wasnt one of scotts best - also two players names were spelt incorrectly - i you write for the public you have to be prepared to be criticised, and how many books have you written? and had published? enough said

'what a poor match report' to be fair that sounds pretty clearly example of 'criticising' to me!!....think you maybe jumped in too early flipp?....couple of fosters more than normal?

nah, it was poor, its not personal, like i said, if you write for the public you should expect constructive criticism, for example 2 players names mis-spelt, i was wondering lidds how long it would be before you got your oar in, dog and dick spring to mind lol and no i only had 3 pints all day, so wrong again!

Les doesn't work for the club anymore but attends matches to take photos for the newspapers. He has kindly agreed to provide Uncovered with some photos of games when he can this season.
