Superb one and all a credit to our Club and our League. Obviously some luck with our goals but totally snuffed them out and in the end we made them look very ordinary. Pleased to get the job done without extra time as we have an important game Tuesday.
Come on you Mighty Whites.

Are we happy the BBC have called us "National League North minnows Darlington"In their Cup summary! Who do they think we are Salford?

Fantastic result, makes the fundraising for the stay over well worth it. Think our goals will feature on BBC2 in just over 5 mins at HT in FCUM v Doncaster game. Just another thought, quite often the draw for the next round is help at the home of the club that caused the previous rounds biggest upset, although we may have competition from Marine.

The draw is at Harrogate I believe. Not too far for AA to travel and he will be there.

I was more unhappy that they didn’t show our goals and instead decided to show Concord Rangers NEARLY causing an upset. 🙄

Thought the draw may have been at Oxford City. They are at home to Northampton on Monday evening.

Probably because as the BBC were not streaming it live they will need to obtain the footage to edit it themselves and that couldn't be done in the timeframe for tonight's live game?

Loved the interview with Alun. Despite all that’s going on with covid this is the most excited I’ve been about a Darlington team in years. Fantastic mix of experienced heads and young hungry lads who want to get back in the professional game.

PS: Marine at home in the next round please. Their lads not being able to train for the next 3 weeks at least will be very tough on them.

Seems a long time ago now, but we were a penalty kick away from going out in 2nd qualifying round. Apart from all the excitement that save has made us a lot of money.

What impressed me was that we rarely looked threatened after going 2-1 up. It wasn't as if we were hanging on late in the game. It was a really disciplined and professional performance. Charman was absolutely immense - he'll get picked up by a league club for sure. His hold-up play and powerful running caused Swindon problems.

And Hunt really looks like that missing piece of the defensive jigsaw we were missing. Solid and experienced and has improved us at the back.

The question now is what would we prefer in the next round? A Hull or Portsmouth at home, and a likely TV tie. Or Marine or Canvey Island to, theoretically, give us an easier chance of making Round 3.

Ordinarily, I'd say the latter, but then I think back to Farnborough back in 2003 - where we screwed it up and missed out on playing Arsenal in the next round.

I’d agree DG - a tie where we can maximise income has to be the priority.

Any home draw should guarantee the game is covered live on TV. Looking forward to AA being on TV at Harrogate.

Friggin BBC, begrudging mention on website - making more references to Salford City and troubled Swindon than a great display by the lads under superb managerial direction of AA. Just watched AA post-match interview and he was very grateful to all the fans who had contributed to paying for the overnight stay & said it was this that helped make the victory possible. What a great manager of player & fans!

"Sixth-tier Darlington pulled off an FA Cup first-round upset against managerless Swindon Town thanks to Adam Campbell's brace at the County Ground.

Campbell put the National League North visitors ahead with a right-footed strike just past the half-hour mark.

Brett Pitman levelled just before the break as he fired home inside the box following good work form Joel Grant.

But Campbell once again found the net midway through the second half with a long-range strike to seal it.

Darlington progress to the second-round stage of the FA Cup for the first time since 2010-11 by virtue of their victory against their League One opponents.

The Robins are without a manager after former boss Richie Wellens left the club earlier this week to be appointed as Salford City's new boss.

The defeat means Swindon have now lost 10 of their past 13 games in all competitions and are knocked out at the first-round stage for the seventh time in the past nine seasons"

Only North-East team to progress to round 2, lets see if we feature much on Look North in Team Talk?

Not quite. Stockport at home for example hardly gets the pulse racing.
