Poor lad. No luck at all. Hope he gets to recover and get back to playing football as soon as possible. I'm sure he'll be well supported by Danny O'connor and the rest of the management team. Wish him all the best in his recovery.

That's sad for him. I suspect that's probably him done in football (certainly at this level). Two years of not playing are probably pretty fatal for his career.

Yes, better to have it sorted now than breaking down in competition. Tough on him and a blow to the club just when the squad looked complete. AA will need to get a good replacement

Sad to read that he's out for another season. Made me wonder about personal injury insurance the club might have in place for contracted players. The last set of accounts to year ended 30/06/19 only showed insurance amount of £1,500 which is far too small for any personal injury cover. So I wondered whether it might come under the heading of playing staff (expenses) in the total figure shown of £365,383. Does anybody know whether the club can claim some of the money back for his wages, or are individual players expected to take out their own personal injury insurance?
