Good. I hope the club do them for slander. We've also had some absolute idiots on here recently posting some very nasty stuff. Some people seem to have a bit of an agenda at the moment. If I was the club I'd be rather interested in finding the IP address and identity of some of the posters on both the Tin Shed and here. I think some people are so stupid that they think they can't be found out if they post under a name on a message board.

People who profess to care about this club need to take a long, hard look at themselves when they use social media to undermine it. It's all very unsavoury and is not the way to raise issues that they may have.

Absolutely Adam, some of these idiots are so negative at times but some of those comments on FB are very damaging.Really hope they get what they deserve as they seem quite bitter.

Libellous posts on social media should be treated very seriously. It brings nothing but harm and uncertainty.

I never saw the offending FB posts but assume they were triggered by a (now removed) Twitter thread from a former director who really needs to just fook right off?

Any content which features them two and is endorsed by Hutchy = slanderous bullshit.

Yes I saw that now deleted thread too. Did wonder what it was all about. Maybe it didn't refer to DFC, but if it did it's been firmly squashed by the club.

Apropos of nothing, I've never understood why people like to air dirty laundry on social media. Seems a bit childish.

Good to see I’m missing nothing over there. Facebook is to be avoided at all costs

I think that Facebook has caused more trouble since it started than any other social media, never used it never will, to much pontificating,

The problem isn’t Facebook.

It’s individuals spreading misinformation. They’ll have just found another way to spread their rubbish.

Hopefully the club’s recent statement deters them from further slander.

I think there's something uniquely toxic about how people use facebook that is somehow worse than other social media. It seems far more abusive than anything else.

I stopped using it years ago. I try to keep a policy of not saying something on the internet that I wouldn't say in person but for a lot of people it seems that all bets are off.

You can't just blame 1 form of SM for that. I am damned sure certain people on here would not have the balls to speak face to face as they do on this forum.

Unfortunately that is the way of of the world ,personal attacks on social media are here to stay.
People don't realise the dangers and damage they create by off loading at someone on social networks, setting in motion a minefield of mental issues, through fear ,inaccurate fact ,and a myriad of other things all probably written in the heat of the moment,
Although some just do these things because they don't have the balls to face the issue with whoever they have an issue with.
Don't let the bullies get the upper hand, be yourself, you are who you are, be proud of yourself for being you.
Stay safe people, your life is in your own hands, CORONAVIRUS will not win.

Agreed. It's really easy to abuse someone behind a keyboard and then avoid the very same person in public to avoid confrontation.
