Help needed with pitch covers

Urgent – volunteers required today!

Temperatures tonight are set to drop to around minus three degrees, and there is a risk that if the pitch isn’t covered, then Saturday’s game v Telford United might have to be postponed.

The club therefore needs some volunteers to turn up at the ground this afternoon at 3pm and help to lay pitch covers in the goalmouths and in the “shaded” part of the seated stand.

If you can help, then please ring Joe Peacock in advance on 7982931678 or email joe.peacock53@icloud.com

Volunteers will also be needed to remove the covers at 9.30am on Saturday morning,

I’ll try and get down by 3.30 if that helps. Just a suggestion why not get academy lads to help.

The whole pitch needs covering in my opinion

Telford are confident of it being on as the team travelled up to Darlo today.

Get them to take the covers off - a good pre match workout.

Wonder if Telford manager Gavin Cowan will be kind enough to give us some tips on knocking Solihull Moors out of the fa trophy in their own back yard seeing has that's what his bucks team did in last season's quarter final.

Just been for the paper it’s bloody cold. -3 with 2c by 11am let’s hope those covers have worked.

Apparently it's -4c in Darlo at the moment. Was the pitch fully covered, because if it wasn't then the game must be under threat.

I wonder if we are planning a pitch inspection? I guess it'll depend on how the pitch looks once the covers are removed.

Just back from taking the covers off, pitch in perfect condition, no frost on it at all.
