Interesting must have been pulled.

Presume we don't want to upset South Shields, if we are trying to keep a good relationship with them.

Agreed as part of the loan deal that Connell doesn’t play in the FA Trophy.

Wheatley picked up a knock and was taken off against Walsall, hence him missing today.

Perhaps if SS get beat on Tuesday and you then want to convince them that Connell can play for us in the FA Trophy, calling them out on your official website maybe isn't the best way.

It doesn't seem an unreasonable request for the parent club to not want a player on loan to become Cup tied. So I don't really see what the problem would have been if this had been publicised to our fans?

We're simply destined to draw them in the next round now.

I guess it brings two questions.

We have loaned him until the end of the season, so it appears we agreed a recall option with SS.
Did we pay a fee for a loan and the fact he isn't available or can be recalled did we get a good deal.

I thought goal keepers were subject two different recall arrangements than outfield loans on an emergency basis or something? We will never know the financial arrangements.
