Managed by Curtis Woodhouse, rumours suggest he applied for our job in the summer.
Also game likely to be a Friday or Sunday, probably Sunday if agreed as the Friday is after our FA Cup Replay.

Why can't we play on the Saturday?super_les_mcjannet wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 1:04 pmManaged by Curtis Woodhouse, rumours suggest he applied for our job in the summer.

Rugby Club at home v Hartlepool.
We are also likely to play Walsall on Wednesday so a Friday should be out of the question really.

Do we not have to have primacy of tenure? I thought this was one of the issues preventing a return to the Arena?

Not for the Trophy, hence why Telford was moved and Harrogate Town previously and Marine when at Bishop Auckland.Yarblockos wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 1:31 pmDo we not have to have primacy of tenure? I thought this was one of the issues preventing a return to the Arena?

Re: Home V Gainsborough Trinity in the Trophy
That'll do. A shame we can't do Friday night, but obviously that'd be ridiculous after a midweek game. Sunday games are rubbish, and it'll dent the crowd severely. Unless the Rugby lot fancied playing on the Friday, they might be open to discussion on it. Might do their attendance and bar takings some good, so mutually beneficial.

Great draw I'm more than happy with playing on the Sunday, far better than a Friday evening.

Re: Home V Gainsborough Trinity in the Trophy
According to Gainsborough Trinity fan game isn't being moved and will be Saturday 23rd.
Presume the Rugby Club couldn't move us to Sunday, we couldn't play Friday so the only option was that they play on the back pitch.

I’m sure that will go down well with the Rugby Club.super_les_mcjannet wrote:According to Gainsborough Trinity fan game isn't being moved and will be Saturday 23rd.

Re: Home V Gainsborough Trinity in the Trophy
Or maybe the Rugby club are playing their game on Friday instead? Good news either way. I think a Sunday game would have hurt the crowd.
Re: Home V Gainsborough Trinity in the Trophy
Yeh never know could be that we asked and the rugby club were happy with a switch to accommodate.
Re: Home V Gainsborough Trinity in the Trophy
What if the rugby club are plying an evening fixture? It's possible

They weren't previous years but yep agree they could have this time.
I kind of get it from their point of view really, if they can then why wouldn't they want to play on their main pitch especially if no rules on the licence mean they have to move.
Glad it's sorted though and will be a tough one just after the Wednesday night match v Walsall.

Re: Home V Gainsborough Trinity in the Trophy
If it's a draw I see there's a replay date but I've just read Colne v Southport will play to a finish. Is this something teams can just decide between them? Interesting.
Re: Home V Gainsborough Trinity in the Trophy
In a word, yes.

Do you mean a bit like when you played football in the park as a kid and you were losing 36-24 and someone said "next goal wins"?don'tbuythesun wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2019 6:47 pmIf it's a draw I see there's a replay date but I've just read Colne v Southport will play to a finish. Re: Home V Gainsborough Trinity in the Trophy
They might just play it on the pitch out the back.

Sort of.don'tbuythesun wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2019 6:47 pmIf it's a draw I see there's a replay date but I've just read Colne v Southport will play to a finish. Is this something teams can just decide between them? Interesting.
Default position is replay but clubs can decide to settle on the day if they want. There is a box on the teamsheet which are exchanged 45 minutes before kick off.
I think the trophy actually mandated extra time regardless of a replay as well. So if you decide to replay you play 30mins extra time in the first leg before you get to that stage...although that might be the Vase can't remember.

Re: Home V Gainsborough Trinity in the Trophy
I’ve always wondered if this was the case. They let you choose on Football Manager, so I always assumed it was.don'tbuythesun wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2019 6:47 pmIf it's a draw I see there's a replay date but I've just read Colne v Southport will play to a finish.
