Not even going to give the Mail a click. Trash newspaper. I’m unsurprised, given their dubious relationship with the truth in multiple other areas.

There are three major problems with that awful article:

1 It's boring, predictable, lazy, irrelevant and way off the mark to target the whole thing around George Reynolds as if that is something always simmering below the surface and a major touchy subject in our every waking moment these days.

2 It gives the impression that Saturday was a clash of one of the league's more lavish spenders compared to the plucky little heroic minnows with a tiny squad and getting by only on big hearts. The truth is they have a squad of similar size to ours bolstered by some good loan signings from higher league clubs and they are more than competitive in our league.

3 Which game was he at? To state 50 Darlo fans in attendance implies he either skipped every maths class at school when they were learning about adding up or normally has to navigate about with help from a canine friend.

The Sun is popular. I have no time for those who work for it, or consume it either. They are both garbage propaganda rags that would’ve made the editors of Soviet era Pravda blush.

Anyway. They make money from clicks, so I won’t be accessing either website either. Not all press is good press.

That aside, who do we fancy for the draw? Honestly, I’ll take the worst team left at home. Colne? Too much money to be won to care about the glamour. That can come later.

Ball numbers: https://twitter.com/FACupFactfile/statu ... 7881684992

Only 28 teams in the North side. I don't like the look of it...

Any home tie, preferably against lower opposition but at least home advantage if we are drawn against similar or higher ranked teams.

Terrible article.
Yeah, really terrible. A full-page feature on the club in the country's second largest newspaper is just 'terrible', isn't it?

If it’s littered with basic inaccuracies, then yeah it is terrible.

Yeah But I must say that judging from what I saw it was great to see an additional 100+ Leamington fans cheering the Darlo after our victory..

Getting way ahead of myself here but did anyone on this board go to Sunderland away in the FA Cup 1st round in 1987?
Was just before my time but I only found out it happened by chance as it rarely gets mentioned in comparison to the Boro FA Cup game (Though I can guess why!)
Yeap I was there. Probably Jeremy Roberts one and only decent game for us if I recall rightly. We played well and did ok to just lose 2-0
