Leamington or Chasetown.
"The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

Where does Halesowen come into it

Long trip and tricky tie either way but come on Chasetown.

Also means a full page feature on the game in the Daily Mail's Follow a Team to Wembley section. They did Leamington v Chasetown last weekend and will follow the winner of the replay into the next round.

It's my aged hearing! I have a wonderful book following the winning teams of each round in 76/77, the road to Wembley. Could be our year!

Not at all. The draw said Chasetown. The commentator followed up with Halesowen for some strange reasondon'tbuythesun wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2019 12:50 pmIt's my aged hearing! I have a wonderful book following the winning teams of each round in 76/77, the road to Wembley. Could be our year!
Re: Leamington or Chasetown
Not the most inspiring draw (although are any in the 3Q round?!) but it could have been worse. Would (obviously) perfer Chasetown but we should still have a reasonable chance against Leamington

Re: Leamington or Chasetown
I would prefer Chasetown as they are in a lower division and that gives us slightly more chance of being on TV meaning more money.
Neither are easy to get to by train!

Thank you my opinion! I thought he said that and I'm pleased you heard it too.
Re: Leamington or Chasetown
Yeah, nothing really jumps out as the stand-out tie does it? So its not impossible. Maybe Chester or Gateshead matches?
I want Chasetown please, easy 45 minute trip from Shropshire.

Winners get £11,250 I think
Re: Leamington or Chasetown
That’s a rubbish tie, isn’t it? Far away, low crowd, and if it’s Leamington, one we are entirely capable of losing. I’ve not much faith in the away form at present, but here is hoping we can pull something off. That money makes a difference.

Re: Leamington or Chasetown
People saying they prefer Chase as we will have a better chance need a bit of a rethink.
OK they are mid table at the moment, but have games in hand that will have them hit the play off spots if they win them.
In The Scholars Ground they have a tight quite intimidating ground and in the cup have had some good runs over the last few years.
Plenty of good pubs in Brownhills for those heading down early.

If it’s a choice between mid table from our league and mid table from 2 leagues below you would always choose the latter! Looks like a pain in the arse too get to mind, (should they get through of course!) hope I’m wrong but it looks like the nearest stations about 5 miles away?EDJOHNS wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2019 4:21 pmPeople saying they prefer Chase as we will have a better chance need a bit of a rethink.

Re: Leamington or Chasetown
Leamington's field in the middle of nowhere isn't exactly a joy to get to either.
Re: Leamington or Chasetown
Still a long way to go aye but there’s a bus for £2 return from the centre which makes things a bit easier.

A team from the Western League playing a National league south side. Tavistock are one of the lowest (maybe the lowest, I don't know?) ranked teams left in the competition.

Meanwhile, this regional split thing is working well.
Whitby v Gloucester.
Whitby v Gloucester.

Re: Leamington or Chasetown
Fair enough. Didn't realise Tavistock were so far down the pyramid (level 9) - they'll be the joint lowest ranked team in 3Q if March (level 10) don't get past Kingstonian in their replay.darlo2001uk wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2019 5:12 pmA team from the Western League playing a National league south side. Never used trains round there but I would think Lichfield or Cannock are they not not? Confused by your 5 miles?TKOA wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2019 4:31 pmIf it’s a choice between mid table from our league and mid table from 2 leagues below you would always choose the latter! Lichfield, Hednesford, Cannock, and Landywood stations all pretty much equidistant - 5/6/7 miles away.EDJOHNS wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2019 7:38 pmNever used trains round there but I would think Lichfield or Cannock are they not not? Could be wrong but I still think Leamington will come out on top in the replay having seen the highlights.

Re: Leamington or Chasetown
Don’t know if we can afford to play Chasetown, watching the highlights from the first leg with Leamington, could easily have played that game with 8 men for the most part. Some errrr agricultural play , not sure if we can afford all that with our injury record.
