Post by super_les_mcjannet » Thu Aug 01, 2019 2:39 pm

Most will have seen already but details on the link.

Interested to see if the new prices, reduce take up. Hopefully not but I do think this could be quite price sensitive.

Yip and once again season ticket holders are charged more than walk ups.

£5 discount but already bought season ticket.

This needs looking at.

Have I missed something, if are just a walk in it’s £30, if you are a season ticket holder it’s £25, what’s wrong with that?

Rightly or wrongly, it costs you more as a season ticket holder than it does as a walk in.

You have paid say £10 per game for ST then £25 or £40 (think it will be this) so you are paying £35/£50, whilst walk up pays £30 or £45.

The problem we have is that it is more profitable for the club for non ST holders to use hospitality as the profit margin is bigger for non ST holders, they have already had the money for ST holders.

The club has to find that balance between the two, at the moment the £5 difference is the attempt. If they get the sales it works if not then it would need looking at.

What’s wrong it is quite simple. A season ticket holder has already paid for the football match, so £25 is for the cost of the food only. While the charge for the food for a non season ticket holder will be £16.

As a season ticket holder I would only consider hospitality during a cup game.

I don't think you will ever get just the food price, do any other clubs do that for ST holders?

Whilst I see your point that it's more expensive for ST holders, the profit just wouldn't be there for the football club. Since the prices have gone up I presume the club will be keeping a close eye on it.

Don’t get me wrong Les. I haven’t got a bee in my bonnet about it, it really doesn’t bother me as the club should make things pay, but personally, I wouldn’t consider hospitality unless it was for a cup game with match ticket included - otherwise it’s too expensive.

Isn’t it pretty standard that a season ticket basically gives you two games free.

Use hospitality twice and you have paid the entry price on your tickets for the match and have saved £10 in total on hospitality.

perhaps ST holders can view it as giving our club a few extra quid (for those who can afford it of course)
