Re: Boost The Budget 19/20
fantastic effort by one and all now that the target has been reached and the club knows what it's BTB total is why not leave it open for a couple of weeks so that fans who could not contribute in the time scale set might be able to.

Re: Boost The Budget 19/20
Nah, don't leave it open, close it on the promised date and move on. I have a sneaky feeling that we may end up close to 100k anyway so there's potentially a few more quid towards AA's budget than was planned for. If AA needs further money on top of any extra BTB money, he's going to have to win some cup matches and get that prize money rolling in.
The problem with extending the BTB beyond May 31st is you're potentially taking value out of next years BTB - if someone for example pledges a monthly DD in mid June and sets their first payment to the end of June - then if it's set up for 13 payments then their last payment would be July 2020.

Re: Boost The Budget 19/20
£2,527 required now to get to £90k.
Re: Boost The Budget 19/20
110% of target is quite something, with possibly more to come. The extra 10k is what, the best part of an additional squad player at this level?
Agreed close it when it was originally due to close - it'll have been open for 2 pay-days by that point so I don't many who say they want to pledge will have a legitimate reason not to have done so, and those who haven't been able to commit within the time frame can still contribute to the club's budget in other ways down the line.

Re: Boost The Budget 19/20
Considering how relentlessly uninspiring last season was, to better last season’s BTB is remarkable.
Re: Boost The Budget 19/20
88k now hit. It would be magnificent if we can reach 100k by tomorrow night.
Let's make it happen.

Re: Boost The Budget 19/20
Not just that, but another 16 investors and we hit 503, which DJ had as a 'dream' target, that of 40% of the core fan base contributing.

Re: Boost The Budget 19/20
Hmm, that would make our "core" fan base 1257.5 - wonder how we arrived at that figure (for comparison our average gate last season was 1,391 or 1,394 depending on which site you check it on)
BTB now sitting at £96,906 from 491 investors, incredible.
I reckon we're odds on now for £100,000/500+
Re: Boost The Budget 19/20
That's the figures that DJ used. I don't know what our 'Core' fan base means either. It's entirely possible that he meant 30%, which would put the figure at 1,396, which would make more sense. That would be 558 fans for 40%. Either way, 500 fans is a big increase on 419. Figures going in the right direction.
Re: Boost The Budget 19/20
Away fans - maybe 90 of that 1390?Ghost_Of_1883 wrote:Hmm, that would make our "core" fan base 1257.5 - wonder how we arrived at that figure (for comparison our average gate last season was 1,391 or 1,394 depending on which site you check it on)

Close enough, and impressive regardless. We obviously then have 'core' fans who donate to all these things but don't attend games for various reasons.

Re: Boost The Budget 19/20
Without having any scientific basis for this, I'd imagine we have maybe 700-800 every-gamers, then a few hundred more who are on rotation, whether because they are exiles or work Saturdays or whatever. As such I'd say our core fan base is actually slightly bigger than that basic number.

Re: Boost The Budget 19/20
505 investors have contributed.
Only £1700 needed to get to £100,000.
Surely must reach 6 figures now.
(I have already given a pledge but if there 16 others who are willing to put in £100 each I’ll do the same to make sure we get there)
