We’re going to need 9/10 players.Darlopartisan wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2019 5:18 pmExcellent, a good CB and CM also required is out and goal scorer and we are good to go
Re: Alun Armstrong
Hopefully 4 or 5 of them loanees.divas wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2019 5:32 pmWe’re going to need 9/10 players.Darlopartisan wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2019 5:18 pmExcellent, a good CB and CM also required is out and goal scorer and we are good to go
Re: Alun Armstrong
Armstrong doesn’t really do loanees. He prefers to bulk his squad out with younger lads released from the bigger clubs

The club have stated this season loness are the way we are going so he will have to adhere to the club's wishes if he wants the job

Not too sure Jameson will be a good acquisition to the team if he hasn't improved.
I personally thought he made too many mistakes too often.

Re: Alun Armstrong
To be fair, some of the young lads from the bigger clubs will cost the same as some loan deals these days.HarrytheQuaker wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2019 5:58 pmThe club have stated this season loness are the way we are going so he will have to adhere to the club's wishes if he wants the job

Re: Alun Armstrong
What if he has improved?
Not convinced he has stood still for the last 2 years, he had a bad run but isn't a bad keeper.
I wouldn't be certain we will get him back anyhow.

Re: Alun Armstrong
I guess it depends if he said he can do it with perms but on the same budget. I agree with Divas that Armstrong will prefer his own players but may have to have a few loans but won't want half a team of loans.HarrytheQuaker wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2019 5:58 pmThe club have stated this season loness are the way we are going so he will have to adhere to the club's wishes if he wants the job

Re: Alun Armstrong
Jameson was at the very best an ok keeper, nothing more. In the times I’ve seen him since he hasn’t changed my opinion. Good shot stopper yes, but his command of his area and starting position were always his problem. Unless he’s improved a huge amount, I wouldn’t want him back.

Re: Alun Armstrong
Just hope the Echo hasn’t jumped the gun to soon, I am now getting a bit nervous about the lack of confirmation from the club, the cats out the bag so to speak, be a massive downer if it’s untrue
Re: Alun Armstrong
Spenny have probably swept in with an extra 20 grand to be their third choice kitman.

Re: Alun Armstrong
I would guess it's just gone into the public arena before us and blyth wanted it to. It was probably agreed when an official statement would go out and both clubs are sticking to it despite it being revealed in the media. Given the delicate situation at blyth i'm sure they particularly wanted to try to manage things as best they could with the fans already on the warpath.Darlopartisan wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2019 6:30 pmJust hope the Echo hasn’t jumped the gun to soon, I am now getting a bit nervous about the lack of confirmation from the club, the cats out the bag so to speak, be a massive downer if it’s untrue

Good point, very worrying that there has been no formal announcement on the club web-site or some other independent verification.Darlopartisan wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2019 6:30 pmJust hope the Echo hasn’t jumped the gun to soon, I am now getting a bit nervous about the lack of confirmation from the club, the cats out the bag so to speak, be a massive downer if it’s untrue

There could be some signings as well.

Re: Alun Armstrong
How can we be trying to sign players when we don’t have a Manager. Surely it’s just rumours and not facts.

But we do have a manager - as you know. It just hasn't been announced yet.OnTheTerraces wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2019 9:47 pmHow can we be trying to sign players when we don’t have a Manager. Surely it’s just rumours and not facts.
