'Supporter' Bans

A number of individuals have received notifications that they have now been permanently excluded from Darlington FC home games because of their continued bad behaviour and general foul and abusive language.
I use the term supporter very loosely in title.

Good move by the club. I was stood by the dugouts for the entire game on Saturday and some of the abuse from so called Darlo fans was pretty bad. Hopefully this will send out a message to all our fans to behave or else.

Excellent news.
Help get the club back to Darlo by helping to spread the word about the "Back to Darlo!" fund. The image on the right will be constantly updated with the latest total so please feel free to use the image link below the thermometer on your own signatures, blogs, websites, etc.Image

Well done the club on this.
The club needs to get tougher on fans who just seem to want to make trouble - we all know all football clubs attract a certain type of person.
I remember one drunk last season when Steve McClaren was there, shouting constantly wally with a brolly to Steve McClaren on the balcony. As a Darlo fan it was embarrassing to say the least, even Martin Gray (then York Manager) had to have a word with the guy to zip it.
If fans want to have a few beers thats fine, but if they start to act up they need booting out.

Yeah you do get the impression that these people will still come if they want to and it wouldn't be too hard to dodge any measures and get in.
If when in, they do draw attention to themselves by being bell-ends then there will be a clear reason to boot them out, no arguing over what they did or didn't say, you have to leave because you're not allowed to be here.
"At a meeting held at the Grammar School on Friday last - Mr Phillip Wood M.A., in the chair - it was resolved to form an Association Football Club for Darlington and neighbourhood. The opinions of those present were so unanimous as to the desirability of this step, that a committee was formed to complete the organisation of the club, and Mr Craven, 17, Garden Street, was appointed secretary pro tem." - The Northern Echo, Monday 23rd July 1883
