Aren't they only selling to season ticket holders? I would expect them to stick on general sale either tomorrow or Monday.

I’m not sure they’re allowed to or have I dreamt that!

Would it even make that much of a difference? It's just not a big game.

We'll have provided a timely boost to the coffers as this is an unexpected bonus, but it doesn't look like the crowd will be more than 1,500. If we played them in an actual game, it would be sold out well in advance.

It'd help if we stopped falling out of every (proper) cup competition at the first hurdle.

So how much are we going to waste on police presence out of that gate as poolie surely get there cut as well

Pools have 2,000+ season ticket holders, they've sold 130 tickets, the figures would indicate that they are not bothered about this game. If people wanted tickets badly enough they would likely know people with season tickets who could sort them out with a ticket. If this game was in the FA Cup/FA Trophy they would have shifted the tickets in a few days, regardless of how bad the away 'end' is at Blackwell.

As for the gate receipts, other cup games show a 50/50 split, they are likely to have 150 there, we will probably have 1200/1300, they will have less than or about 10% of the gate yet will likely get 50% of the gate money.

Pity. I love a party with a happy atmosphere.

Yes - the same way that if we drew a big side in the FA cup away (ha) we'd take home a far greater % of gate receipts than the % of tickets we would sell

To be fair I am sure this is usually 'after costs'.

Whilst I expect police presence to be stood down, at least from the levels first planned who knows if this will be a profit or loss event.

Where gate receipts are shared it is after expenses... Also clubs onlyare liable for costs of policing on their land... Policing in public places comes from public purse

Pools playing Harrogate away tomorrow. After Gateshead their next nearest local derby game in a meaningful match.
Perhaps why they haven't sold many tickets for the reserve/youth team game next Tuesday at BM.

I still hope they sell a good few more and I'd be disappointed if the crowd doesn't get to 1800.

According to a steward, Hartlepool have sold out their allocation and have requested more tickets.

The steward is lying, or is ill informed.

Might of been answered before in the thread, do we share all the ticket sales with Hartlepool after costs police etc. ?

Doesn't seem right , we sell say 1300 they sell 150 and we then share what's left after costs

We wouldn't be complaining about the financial set up if we ever played a big cup match away

The figures quoted were pre-weekend, so I was just wondering if there had been an update since then.

You enter the competition, you abide by the rules. Same for other competitions. Truro City play Stockport away in the trophy, 1600 crowd and they only get 200 at home. Payday!!
Make amends for what?

Lots of info on website about ticketing, and police advice about the game Tuesday, but nothing about how strong a team we are going to put out. I mean it is not Champions League is it, but if we have sold over 1,000 tickets as the club says, would be a good idea for TW to tell us how seriously we are taking this and maybe hint at team selection? I have a ticket. Maybe will be something on website tomorrow or in the Echo to generate some passion tomorrow night.

People have already bought tickets as you point out, for a reserve game. Hardly going to affect the attendance is it
