I know this has been mentioned and addressed already but..

When anyone transfers money from one account to another it is customary that the one who receives the money acknowledges its receipt.

I do understand that with limited resources the tying up of receipts with the registered email address is fiddly and time consuming.

However it is important that the receipt of £100 or more is officially acknowledged in a timely manner.
The worry is that without this people are left wondering if the monies have arrived safely.

Please is it possible for you set up some system whereby a target of lets say 3 working days from monies received for an acknowledgment to be sent.
This would probably equate to max 7 working days for the donor from monies paid to confirmation of receipt by yourselves.
May I ask please on this forum how long fans are waiting from payment to confirmation of receipt??

I know there is a lot happening at present and very few people to deal with things but I think that fans donated money dealt with efficently needs to be up there as a priority

Thanks

I sent my money on the 6th June, and haven't had any confirmation that it has been recieved nor to the email I sent the same day.

I realise that there are only a limited number of people completing administration, but in my email I also volunteered to help!

I sent some money In may but still haven't heard. I'm guessing I'll get an acknowledgement of some sort in the near future.

Hello guys

Thanks

I think I sent mine via PayPal also on the 6th and am still awaiting confirmation. Would just like to be sure it got there.

I transferred the money on 28th May and then emailed on the 2nd asking if it had been received - I obviously wasn't expecting an immediate answer what with the Jubilee weekend and then I saw the thread saying that 1883 were working through their emails and matching up investments so I assumed I would receive confirmation soon after. However, I am still waiting for confirmation.

I appreciate that the guys running 1883 are all volunteers and am grateful for all the effort they are putting in. However, surely there should be some sort of priority given to confirming when people invest in the CIC? After all, in another thread it seems that unfortunately we only have 290 people who have invested so far so surely it shouldn't take approaching four weeks for monies to be matched up and replies to emails sent.

I hope that I don't come across as critical as I understand that the people running this are doing so in their own time. Fingers crossed I receive some sort of confirmation soon if only to reassure myself that I haven't transferred the money to the wrong account!

I sent two lots of payment (for my wife and myself) via Paypal. I also used the Contact Us form on the 1883 CIC website and got a reply back the same day saying that the payments had been received.

This is something that must be addressed quickly. If the board don't have the resource it must be found from elsewhere. Understand it's a tricky one as it requires someone to access the 1883 bank/PayPal accounts but a solution must be found, it's not fair that people are investing without any confirmation.

Invested several weeks ago and heard nothing.
I only invested 10% of the amount I put in Crowdcube and until I know it has been
received and I get a membership certificate to stick on the wall the other 90% ain't
being invested.
Perhaps this is another reason why the total is still only 1/3 of the Crowdcube total.

There are only 200 or so investors, some of whom invested a month ago.
Just how difficult is it to reply to 200 people in a month ?
After all the fundraising money that has gone down a black hole these last few months,
people may just be a little reluctant to commit their full investment in the CIC until this
process is more efficient.
I am waiting to invest for other family members but not until I get confirmation of my own
investment.

Brilliant, 3 hours after last comments posted, received email confirming membership and
certificates later in the year.
Congratulations for speedy response, so far today has been the most positive in
several ways for a very long time.

Please don't panic if you didn't receive one (or two) today, and you haven't had confirmation yet - there were *loads* of spam rejections, which I'm going to have to deal with on Monday.

Please bear with us which we get this sorted - I'd hoped to have a more seamless system up and running by now, but my admin bunny took a holiday (last time I let employees have holidays I promise!) and have been tied up on other more pressing urgencies this week.

Thanks for your (continued!) patience.

Got mine on Saturday. It said I've been enrolled as a founder member of the CIC- that gave me a warm glow.

Right - that *should* be all confirmation emails out for all money in up until the bank's close of business on Thursday.

I still have about half a dozen where people have given me hooky email addresses, and a few unmatched bank transfers (especially from Crowd Cube, as they helpfully came without references), to match, but they will be attempted tomorrow.

Thanks for your patience while we got this straightened out folks - it was no small task in the end. :?

I have a question. My dad invested for 8 different accounts/emails, but created my email on his email address. He did ask to change my name to my email address but it seems like that has not materialised. Can you still change it?????

Done and done (I think) - you should have an email, (as should your pa), confirming this.

Sorry, we missed this in the general admin nightmare, but it's corrected now.

Thanks for your patience.
