Has also signed. Class act, sits in front of the back 4. Loves a tackle and can play higher. Reminds me of Chandler.

Very good signing.

Marc Ellison - defensive midfielder?

Chris Emms - midfielder, Billingham Synthonia

Arjun Purewal - central defender, Durham City

Amar Purewal - striker/left wing, Durham City (34 apps, 22 goals last season)

Heard a rumour off a mate of mine that we might be after someone from Bedlington.

I know Middlemiss used to be great up front, but can't find any recent stats on the Internet. 41 now, but could still be worth a look - what do you think?

Three times a Quaker.

Where's Craig "shittest defender in Darlo history" James a these days? He was always about Northern League standard.

As well as Convery and James maybe we could put the whole band back together from that magic summer of 2009?...

Knight
Plummer
Bennett

Dowson
Bains

Good times.

Thorpedo! We had so many great artists in that band it's easy to forget one or two. I wonder if Nick Liversedge can still play lead guitar.

Tony Kane from Carlisle must in that bracket, surely? Christ knows how that lad won international U21 caps (for two countries?!) or started his career in a Premier League reserve side.

only real memory of Thorpedo...away game at Fleetwood chanting at the mascot are you Lee Thorpe in disguise.

Looking at where a loads of the players ended up that 2009 team wasn't much better than Northern League standard! Didn't Nathan Porritt, i want to say play, but stand on the wing looking disinterested for us in that season as well?

I think I recall hearing Craig James was at Blyth.

Speaking of Porritt, he's found his level, Stokesley in NL2.

Clayton Fortune must surely rival him for that title?

I suppose it's opening a can of worms for including him...but Ben Starosta was incredibly bad!

So bad that after being signed he was released before the season had even started.

Vaisanen or something similar, and he was Finnish. I barely remember him playing.

Vaisanen again was poor, but was thrown in to a very poor defence so I post-humously cut him some slack.

I met him over a drink in a pub in London a couple of years ago - he was very critical of Craig James among others. Nice bloke.
