Thanks to those of you that have already emailed me with your details, it is very important that we confirm all members details asap. The reason for this is that we want to carry out a Ballot to get the members opinions on if and how to invest in our Football club.

Anyone who has not yet contacted us, if you could take two minutes to complete the on line form on the Trust website we would be very gratefull.

Also if there are any members you know of that dont use any of the Darlington Football Club related sites could you maybe give them a heads up as to what we are doing.

When is the vote to empty the bank accounts? The Trust needs to get moving on this now - the club needs 200k by the end of June, only has 72.3k so far, and that 50k will make a MASSIVE dent.

I think the answer is above quakerz. once the new board are satisfied that they can conduct the vote within the rules and regulations.

Don't give anyone any chance to claim foul play with the vote, not that anyone would try and scupper getting this money to 1883...

£40k?

The Trust had £53k in the bank according to the last set of accounts.

What is it planning to do with the other £13k? Why do you need to retain such a large surplus amount?

Personally I'd expect the Trust to be investing £50k initially and hopefully fundraising to with a plan to increase its shareholding over time.

No.

People are saying 40k based on the mythical 50k minus 10k turned over in January.

I'd expect the trust to pledge 50k, but keep 3k back to remain solvent, and try and increase that figure over time.

The Trust now have a lot of questions to ask 1883 before putting that money to the vote, how long will that take?

As the Trust are looking to work to 1883 timescales, then I would assume its imminent

Hope so. That money could turn out to be very important to our future.

That's assuming of course that enough fans vote to transfer the money.

I did get an email after I submitted my details again, that indicated a ballot paper would be issued soon.

TBH, I cant see the money not being voted to 1883.

Im hoping this is the new beginning the Trust needs to get people back on side, and as a fund raising vehicle it should become more proactive than it has been in the past.

I agree that would be a massive statement of intent. At what point do we decide that all steps have been taken to confirm members details if the previous register was faulty anyway,
