If were gonna get stuck in the bloody Northern League can we not play at the RAs ground rather than going all the way to Shildon ?

Crowds are gonna drop alarmingly if we end up in the Northern league at shildon be lucky to pull in 400

It seems a bit pointless taking us out of the town now when an equal quality ground is on our doorstep.

Also i would think admission prices should be less than a tenner due to this crap level of football we will be playing at .

I think that's a decision that needs to be discussed when we find out what league we're put in. Let's not jump the gun just yet shall we?

Despite all the rumours flying around, we still have no idea what league we are going to be in. It was no good us presuming we would be in the NL and signing a lease agreement with the RA if then we find out we are in the NPL as this would be yet another hurdle to overcome. Let's just wait until we get the final decision.

Dont think we would get out of the Northern League at Brinkburn Road, it only has and F or G Grading

But if the plan is to move into a ground within a year which conforms to such grading, then it shouldn't matter should it?

Problem is (as far as I understand it) the football club needed to have secured the lease of a ground to satisfy the FA that we actually had somewhere to stay. I would have hoped there was a conditional agreement for the lease in place that if we were to be relegated further we would be free to speak to other clubs (such as RA). Only 1883 can answer this though.

We do have a get out clause upon payment of a fee should we wish/need to exercise it.
The earlier poster is absolutely right. Due to the time pressures of applying for the FA licence and having to have a signed licence agreement to demonstrate to the FA that the football club had somewhere to play next year - there was simply insufficient time to consider all of the eventualities and lots of different grounds etc. We had to move to finalise these issues in a matter of days............

Could Brinkburn Road be brought up to a good enough standard to host football in the Evo-Stik and Blue Square North, from what I have seen there is not much that can be done at Brinkburn Road

There is technically space to bring the RA up to Evo Prem standard. But that's probably as far as it could go. Also, it would be a really unorthodox looking ground (as the seated stand would need to be built behind the goal at the northern end. Also, the facilities would need a lot of work doing on them). Finally it would be severely landlocked, you couldn't do much with the side with the dugouts. An open terrace could be erected at the road end, but no roof due to the houses on the main road. And then the cricket pitch side could have a covered terrace, but couldn't be too big due to access to the nothern part of the ground.

All in all, not really feasible.

Mind you saying that. Feethams isn't feasible in the modern world. But some live in hope.
