HELP AND VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Ok guys we have a biggie coming up, fundraiser that is. Also ties in with the spirit of the community
Been to see a lovely lady at the Forum and have them on board

Friday 6th July we will hopefully be hosting an event entitled
Celebration of local bands supporting Darlington Football club in local music

I need five bands , have one on board as long as they have the date free so if anyone knows of any local bands who might be interested please get them to email me with contact details
(details to follow)

if we can get 100 people through the door the Forum will let us have the facilities for free
(they are a CIC too)

What else do I need :-

I need a team of volunteers for the night

Someone to man the door and take money
Someone who can use a bbq to cook on and some one to charge for said BBQ
Folk willing to help out in general from selling raffle tickets and helping out backstage and to keep the event moving along smoothly, the more volunteers I get the cheaper it is to stage

Cracking band. A good friend of mine from way back when is the bassist.

You might consider contacting Councillor Joe Lyonette. He may be able to assist with organising etc. He likes his music and is often at the Forum.

Hi Sue, I've contacted The Stereo Party - a three piece indie band from Darlington and they have said they definitely want to do it. Can you send me your phone number so they can give you a call please. They have played the Forum previously as well as other local venues including Seen.

Well I`ve had a father and son who are both trained chefs offer to do the bbq for us so we wont be giving anybody food poisoning :-)

Right guys so far I have Call Of the Wild a Darlington based rock band on board and The Tenants a Darlington based blues band so its making up to be a good evening. Waiting for The Lost Rockers to get back to me, however one of the members of the band has just had a sad loss so dont want to push them for an answer.

Still waiting to hear from the stereo party, not been in touch yet, can anybody chase them up (they sound good from what I`ve heard), tried The Raindogz, email bounced back

Robsraiders, what kind of music does your guy Paul play?

We have a few volunteers so far but could do with more, if you`ve already approached me consider yourself hired and would appreciate if you pm/email me your email addresses and phone numbers (will not abuse them honest lol)

Charlie, I'm not too sure wether they are still gigging at the moment because of what happened with Chris's family.

But they were supposed to be playing The Green Dragon tomorrow night, I think.

It may be worth a look down in case they are!

Just a thought.
