Pretty much agree with Stoddy on everything. Johnson was immense as was the spine of the team. At the risk of asking the most stupid question today, there really is no chance of us keeping him next season? Given that Grimsby have the most lethal striker in the division I thought the defence kept him reasonably quiet. Wainy also looked solid.

My only constructive gripe is lack of movement in the box when we get into good positions. A number of times we worked it well to the byeline and the ball rolled across goal but nobody seemed to anticipate it. You either gamble or hold back but you have to move. It happened at previous home games as well.

Guess the question is, is there a chance of keeping him.

I would suspect we could get him on a season long loan. The lad is not ready for League One football, Hartlepool have decent back-up so I would hazard that they would let us keep him for another year.

I don't know how it works out training wise though given that we will probably be PT or Semi-Pro clearly the lad needs to train everyday so I don't know if he would be best training with our youths (if we still have them) or training with Pooly during the day and then joining our players on Tuesday/Thursday evenings when our first team squad have training.

yes, poorly phrased question on my part. Some good points. Why do we train on an evening?

I've heard we may be staying full time next season.
