Would be interested to get peoples opinion on the vote on Scottish independence.

Do you care about the result?
Do you believe only those in Scotland should get to vote on this topic or the whole GB (i.e. vote the Jocks out)?
Should the ballot only have a Yes or No to independence or also a “devo-max” option?
Should Scotland be independent?
Do you believe Scotland will be stronger if independent?
Do you think the rest of GB be stronger with/without Scotland?

Stuff all that independence rubbish!

The only questions that should be on a ballot form are :

Are you really ashamed to live on the fat of the English?

How do you want your politicians put down?

Do you care about the result? Yes
Do you believe only those in Scotland should get to vote on this topic or the whole GB (i.e. vote the Jocks out)? Whole of GB because it could potentially effect us all in some way.
Should the ballot only have a Yes or No to independence or also a “devo-max” option? Only be yes or no
Should Scotland be independent? No
Do you believe Scotland will be stronger if independent? No
Do you think the rest of GB be stronger with/without Scotland? Stronger with

But it wouldn’t just be for while they are in power it would be for the distant future.

My opinion about independence…..

I think only those in Scotland should get the vote as the outcome will affect them much, much, more than people in the rest of GB.

I’m undecided if I think there should be a Devo max option, I’m leaning towards the Yes or No only side.

I think Scotland should get the vote to decide if they want to be independent or not but I think it be a wrong decision for Scotland to be independent. The percentage of people in Scotland who pay income tax is so little that it may be necessary for tax to increase and benefits to decrease. Also I saw a stat the other month that said that Scotland provides just under 8% of GB’s GDP yet receives just under 9% of government payouts. When you consider that the government is being run at a deficit you can imagine the massive cut that Scotland would have to income if it was to run itself sustainably.

Another reason I think that independence would be financially terrible for Scotland is that the income for the country would come from so few sources (i.e. Oil and Gas, a couple of banks and not a great deal else). A down turn in oil prices would have a huge effect for the whole country (it would only take the Middle East to open their valves a little more for the price to plummet) and what will happen when O&G runs out?

Also for a country that believes it can be financially better off through their energy industry, their energy policy is incredibly s***. Not building Nuclear power stations is a major step backwards and anyone who thinks they can provide 100% of their power from renewable resources doesn’t know anything about the energy industry.

Yep as long as there is shortbread, iron bru and heroin there will be money changing hands in Scotland.

P.S. don’t mention to them that the kilt is in fact English, they don’t like that.
