Are we still looking for a shirt sponsor or have we accepted the offer from Evostik and if so is it a good deal financially ?

Dennis said today that an announcement of a shirt sponsor may be announced Monday. Fingers crossed.

A deal has been done but cannot be announced yet, we need to do this properly. It won't be Evo-stick though.

We do have a kit sponsor but I don't think any announcement will be made until Thursday. I didn't think it was Monday but I could be wrong.

Up until now we all thought that Evo-Stick would be the sponsors, unless our appeal was successful.
Now, what has happened to change that? Has a better deal appeared on the scenes within the last couple of days, or have they pulled out for some reason?

No, we knew evo-stick had put a decent offer, we were never told they would definitely be the sponsor

That was my take on it also.

They were seriously interested, but it was never a given!

Fair do's. Let's hope it is a good deal for us and them and that their logo isn't horrible lol. (Joking)

So this would be their £10k investment? - That would be a shame because weren't they going to put that in anyway?, this way we'd miss out on an extra sponsor - hopefully the sponsorship deal is worth a little more.

I never said it is the Northern Echo - it was a pure guess from me.

So until it is announced, who knows who it is, or why they are sponsors and how much it's worth?

Don't worry, I was just speculating too :) - more so for loanstars reaction to your original post than anything else.

You do have a keen knack of guessing correctly though don't you?

I do, yes :)

To be honest, The Echo seems an obvious choice. It's a way of re-justifying the money that they pledged before.

I honestly have no inside track, I've asked a couple of people and they aren't telling

What about Cummins or Cleveland Bridge?

Or do Cleveland Bridge still sponsor Darlington CB? I'm supposing they do.

I agree.
My preference would be Darlington Building Society. Never had to explain which team I supported when wearing those shirts...

Shirt sponsor "Northern Echo"
Does that mean there will be no new money on top of the £10K already pledged ?
