Saw the film tonight, thought the special effects were superb. I was surprised by the death of one of the actors in the film.

Couldn't believe Darth Vader turned out to be Luke's mother as well as his father! Who could have seen that one coming?

Well me and my mate queued up outside the Odeon up Bondgate in 197? to see it first time round - you know, the one that got demolished. Well my mate, who never could stand the thought of queueing thought we should go to the pub so I talked him out of it.
Well there was a brilliant supporting film that came on first that we weren't expecting about motorcycling. As we both were avid bikers we enjoyed that surprise immensely.
Then the Star Wars thing started, what a load of c**p, neither of us got it, what was all the hype about at the time? (they had hype then too, I suppose it must have just started)
Well mate complained we should have gone to the pub after the first film, and had to agree, it was my fault, least it wasn't raining that night.
Deffo won't be going to watch the next one, I've yawned every time it got mentioned since then. Still, each to their own I suppose. One thing was better back then though, we were in the fourth division.

Is it because you are older now?bertbanger wrote:nothing beats the old 3 originals, the new one is ok but dosent have the feel of any of the originals
I would wager a great deal that todays kids would prefer the new ones compared to the old.
