Yes I could well be interested in going to the Wigan game.

Looks like we're in a battle to beat Castleford as we are losing 26-24 with just under 20 minutes left.

A great game and comeback by Cas. Hardaker had a great game, apart from his kicking.

Errr you must be joking Pete missed kicks meant you lost a game you should have won - keep him please you wont do anything with him, soon he will let you down off the pitch as well
Our kicker had never done the job before showed him how it should be done, thats Hardakers job mate

That last 1 he put over from near the bench was a peach. Even for a regular kicker it would have been a good score.

I keep hearing the new ground is getting closer. I still hope it gets lost. You really can't beat the likes of CP and the jungle for atmosphere under the lights. I always go into the disabled area because of the away end being all standing and it always reminds me of fairs when I was a kid.
Even the likes of Warry who kept the 4 stand idea when rebuilding just is not the same. Trouble is, they never listen to the people who actually go and spend money at the grounds about what they want.

Pete, they really are NOT that good believe me. They have a smattering of decent SL players who are past their sell by date.(I love Ashton Sims but he really should be packing it in),O'Brien and a couple of others, but the rest are Championship standard at best, but with full time training.
Remember, most of the guys they are playing have either done a full days work, will be on nights, or taken a half shift off work to play.
I loved our season back in the Championship in 17 because every game was on Sunday afternoon and I got home the same day as I left, but hated all the 40's and 50's we put on sides. Our season only got interesting the last 7 games when we knew we were in a fight for promotion with the struggling SL sides.
I go to Newcastle on occasion,(going today), and enjoy it for what it is, but again, the standard is really poor in truth.

No doubt if they get promoted, they'll strengthen their side further, I think they'll be a force in SL, but I guess only time will tell.

Must admit I was a bit disappointed when I got in the car and heard that. I fully expect Udders to be bottom 3 at the end of the season, and they are my tip to be relegated.
Good comeback win for KR last night in the cup. From 10-4 down at half time to win 14-10. It's just a bugger when your own players score the points against you. Not a fan of loanee's playing for their loan club in the cup.

Really looking forward to tonight's game and hoping for Warry win

I really had to laugh when I saw a post on the banter site. Warry bragging they have sold NEARLY 3,000 tickets for tonight's game at St's.(average home att 10.100)
8.8 miles between the 2 grounds
I would say that NEARLY 3,000 is poor.

KR have already sold over 6,000 for next weeks game at Dull. (Average home att 7,900).
6.3 miles between grounds

Ps, guess who are sitting 1 and 2 for ticket sales for magic? (Sadly the wrong way round).

Poor again from Wigan as we lose badly at Wakefield, at least our next game should be easier at home to St Helens on Good Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No disgrace loosing to Wakey mate. Chessie has built a real TEAM spirit. Top 5 should be the least they look at. (And to think, he was boo'd out of KR as a flop)!!!!

Ed, I take your point but that away end holds under 4,000 and those missing fans will be glad they stayed away! Ignore seventynine he posts drivel on the main forum.

I really have no idea why I go down to the final every year. AS long as the draw is done the way it is with the "elite 8" I can't find it in me to get excited any more.
Used to love it in the days long gone when there were 2 leagues and the draw put the amateurs and second div' teams in, then the league 1 teams all joined together. That gave lower down teams a good chance of a bumper crowd every season. Now only 8 clubs get the shot at that.
Well done Fax for beating London, but Leigh really could have done with the cash from an extra round.

Easter, the time of year the league really starts to take shape. "Away" game in HUll for me Friday then home game next Monday. ... in Hull !!!! Thankfully both mid afternoon games so back home the same day I leave!!!!!!

Shaun Edwards not returning to Wigan in 2020 as head coach. Don't think Lam is the answer either, unless we have a massive change in our fortunes.

Challenge cup draw, Home side first:-

Salford v Hull K R
Dewsbury v Halifax
Warrington v Wigan
Bradford v Leeds
Hull FC v Castleford
Catalans v Doncaster
Huddersfield v St Helen's
Wakefield v Widnes

The funny part is that I had a pm this morning telling me we were going to Salford and that Bradford had Leeds at home.
Of course it is a totally "straight" draw

Pete might. I can't stand the game, but that would be on a cricket thread anyway not a RUGBY LEAGUE thread.

Why is that suddenly rocket science to some?

Well that's Wigan's Challenge Cup challenge over for another season.

In response to the rather bizarre first post, I like watching some cricket on TV rather than in person!!
