But if game had been at Cas it would have been a full house, we took 4,500 fans poor support I say from Wigan, even tho on TV
Good to see that Wigan have sold significantly more tickets than Warrington, even though Warrington have had them on sale for an extra day.

So obviously I'm hoping to witness Wigan winning, but who do other people think will win?

Pete the guy is a cheat and had more chances than most people get, the word round west yorkshire is he is still at it good luck no doubt you will be paying him well
Surely once he's done his punishment, then he should be free to carry on playing. I think he's had quite a few personnel issues and hopefully now he's joining Wigan, he'll get back to his former self.
Zac Hardaker banned for 20 months for drink driving offence, perhaps Darlo Pete will volunteer to drive him to and from work ?

Yep he made a mistake, but plenty of people do. Hopefully he'll learn from his mistakes and show on the pitch what he can do. I'm sure he'll be looking forward to playing Castleford next season.

Cheers for that Rob not a classic, but the defences dominated in particular Wigan's. Didn't get home until 00-30, but what a day as I saw 2 wins in one day! :D Really chuffed for Shaun Wane, a fantastic servant for Wigan over 30+ years, he'll be hard to follow.

Yes echo Rob's comments. Even more impressive when you realise that New Zealand beat Australia, just before they played us. New fixtures are out for next seasons superleague.

Darlo Pete whats this about cheating again ?

Super League champions Wigan Warriors have been given a two-point deduction for a salary cap breach during 2017.

The penalty, which includes a £5,000 fine, relates to six separate payments totalling £14,700, which were not declared to the Rugby Football League.

The Warriors have said they will appeal against the points deduction as the breach "did not affect the competitive balance of the competition".

As it stands, Wigan will begin their 2019 campaign on minus two points.

They overstepped the rules just, so they deserve to be punished. Whether it should be a fine or a point deduction is subject to debate.

New season starts with a local derby between St Helens and Wigan, I predict a St Helens win!!!

Disappointing start for Wigan, but I guess it will be the hardest fixture of the season for them.

It was interesting to watch the Toronto Wolfpack beat York last weekend. I'll watch there next game at Rochdale later on today on TV.

Well sorry we let you down Rob, but it was a very good game and there wasn't much between the two teams if you take away the first 10 minutes.

Really enjoying watching the Toronto Wolfpack, as I think all their games are being shown on Skysports this year, I think last year they were all shown on the Premier Sport TV channel.

The less said about Wigan the better, but I'm sure that Rob will have plenty to say!!

It's not a sprint, but a marathon. In the end normal order will be resumed, with the cream rising to the top.

Cas will go very close this season again. If they finish above Warry they win it, and York will run Toronto all the way.
As a fan of the only SL team to go over there, Toronto could teach the entire Northern hemisphere RL family how to run the game. A full day out, not just 80 mins and "giz your money."

I went to Tigers game v HKR and the team won well even with the several injuries we have, hope this is our year. nearly 9000 crowd quite remarkable for a town the size of Castleford.
Oh and to make it a good weekend Broncos beat Wigan !!

As I've said before, it's a marathon not a sprint, but the Tigers have started really well and the Warriors have started badly.

It looked like Toronto were heading for their first lose, until they scored 12 points in 4 minutes.

I hate it when fans talk of injuries. In the 7 players KR have out at the moment 2 will not play this season having missed much of last as well. in 2016 when we went down we AVERAGED 11 out every game.
I thought we did well until the 3rd injury. Rob, you do realise we only had 1 player to swap all the second half.
Not a dirty game, but the ref lost it. The only bad "tackle" all game was the flop on Keinhorst that put him out of the game.
Can't remember ever having 3 binned at once before and I go back to 1955. That was shocking discipline.
Rather spoiled my night in the jungle. 16 points to catch up to win Dodgers trophy for the season. Might be a tad hard to do.
Yes good crowd for Cas. Lots of Robins travel as usual.
Can we all laugh at Wigan?
