I don't think I've ever seen the advantage switch hands so many times in one test. Unbelievably exciting cricket.

Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Spot on.

I actually felt sorry for Oz, great test!

I now think we'll kick on too, Oz looked very disheartened at the end.

Wickets seemed to drop in pairs in all 4 innings, making the tide turn much more. That's how it felt to me anyway.

Why isn't snicker part of the 3rd umpire KIT? Reliability issue?

Put simply, yes.

It shows a sound has been made, but doesn't tell you where the sound came from (i.e. was it ball nicking the bat, or the bat brushing pad etc?)

At least, that's my understanding!

Snicker isn't used because it takes to long to process result...........would slow the game up far to much .

had to laugh yesterday when england went through the whole timewasting effort just before lunch - broad slowly taking his boot off etc to avoid another over - umpires saw straight through it and had another one anyway. if only footy refs were that consistent.

Yes spotted that, obviously trying to get Jimmy longer to get fit to bowl.

I'm in Amsterdam and was watching in an Irish bar without sound. It made the last wicket very interesting! It looked out on hotspot but the test had gone I couldn't be sure. There was a big cheer when the verdict came, there were some Aussies in the bat too; great atmosphere!

What does everyone think for the second test then. I'd expect it to be a lot less exciting this time due to the conditions plus the fact the Lord's pitch usually stands up well.

Gonna bet hot and dry so spin maybe 3-5th day, a lot depends on if Finn plays, if he does I expect a loss or draw, Onions plays I expect a win - a few thunder storms and overcast conditions would be nice.

I also expect 3 or 4 centuries in the match overall and in excess of 1200 runs

Maybe all bollocks and its 150 all out on day one for us lol

Not sure I agree with you there.
It's like for like swap. If the ball does swing then it's a mistake and Bresnan or Onions should have played but I think it's probably the right pick with Tremlett

red hot @ Lords and perfect for batting, just nerves and poor shot selection, Root was not out IMHO

Most of TMS think he was out, Sir Geoff thought he was that he shouldn't be given out.

From where I am.......I agree with Sir G and you Steve!

114-3 now, good recovery from Trott & Bell, lets just hope they stay to at least tea or close of play, sounds like there are very few demons in the pitch so no doubt we will be all out for 200!

Interesting yet again another clutch of wickets go in a few balls.

Of course Boycott want agree with a Yorkie being given out lol

We stick together!

Agreed about Trott, above. Bairstow is due a score.
