Really feel for Beltran there. Fair play to Burns for fighting with a dislocated jaw but he lost simple as that.

Just watched that. Absolute joke of a result.

One of the judges had Burns winning by 3 rounds.

Mayweather vs Canelo build-up vids. Might give them a watch later.

I like Canelo but I think Floyd will just be too good for him. Actually more excited about Garcia vs Matthysse.

There is no way whatsoever that Ricky Burns deserved to keep his title. I had Beltran ahead by at least three points and I'm sure I wasn't alone.

Having said that, Burns showed tremendous balls to go through ten rounds at such high pace with a broken jaw.

I've heard that Adrien Broner might be defending his title against Marcos Maidana later this year too. His promoters must be pretty simple if they want to risk putting him in with someone like Broner.

I think Mayweather will win to but will be interesting to see what happens if Canelo catches him with some power shots. Agree with you with about the Garcia fight as well. I think Garcia will be to smart for him in the end and win by KO in the 5th/6th round. But he will hit the floor or be shaken and hurt at some time in the fight.

De La Hoya is missing the fight on Saturday because he's voluntarily gone into rehab again but wouldn't say if it was for alcohol or cocaine. Forget Garcia I would fight Mattysee myself for De La Hoya's ring side seat.

Angel Garcia seems pretty confident. Apparent he's said today that if Danny loses he will cut his own head off.

I think Garcia will win too. People talk about his sheer power but he's never really faced anyone with the speed of Garcia. How will he react if Garcia is still in there after six or seven rounds?

Garcia looking in great shape and is apparently at 143 without sweating.

Alvarez looked a bit drained at the weigh in hopefully having to get down to 152 won't have an affect on ther performance.

That Smith vs Monlia fight almost put me to sleep. But I give it to Monila.

Well pretty much what I was expecting, Mayweather strolled it. Canelo is a good fighter but he is still miles away.

Have to say Floyd is the best I've ever seen.

Just got up went to bed at about half 6 in the end. Great performance from Mayweather he is on a new level on his own. Garcia put in a wonderful performance as well and showed his great boxing skills vs Mattysee. Although I don't think anyone thought it would go the distance.

Garcia was outstanding for me, and will hopefully start to the get the credit that he deserves. I don't think he's ready for Mayweather though - but then again, who is?

Sit back down Khan. He thinks beating Monlina and Diaz means he deserves a shot at Mayweather? Give me a break. He won't make it to Mayweather Alexander will knock him out come Dec 7th

I don't think he'll get knocked out. Alexander hasn't exactly got the highest knockout percentage has he? He couldn't even get rid of Kotelnik.

Amir Khan has one of the worst chins in boxing atm. Alexander has got a similar ko percentage to Julio Diaz and he almost knocked Khan out. I'm not quite sure why he is calling Mayweather out anyway he's still gota beat Alexander. He was calling Mayweather out before the Garcia fight you would think he would have learnt his lesson not to over look opponents.

Maybe, but when was the last time Diaz stopped anyone decent?

Alexander has faced far better people granted, but still struggles to get them out of there.

What pisses me off about Khan is he thinks he's got some sort of divine right to fight Mayweather. If he does get a shot he will just take the money and retire (after he gets beat). There's lots of other fighters that deserve a shot more and wont just fight him for the money. If he focuses on training, keeps out of the shisha bars, stops tossing himself off to models on Skype then he has a good chance of beating Alexander and will get an undeserving fight with Mayweather. He will have more power and his punch resistance will be better in a higher weight class. But if he doesn't focus on training Alexander will school him.

In other news, Riddick Bowe (the real one) follows me on Twitter. Please, contain your jealousy.

Sad news about Ken Norton dying. Very underrated fighter from a legendary era.

Nice tribute here.

Haye vs Fury off. Bad cut just above Haye's eye from sparring.

This is a legit excuse. The hand injury was bs. He needed an excuse to get him out of that fight so he could get a shot at Fury.

It looks like a bad cut but it seems strange that he was sparring so close to the fight and seemingly wasn't wearing headgear. Add to that his history of cancelling fights and faking injuries... :silent:

I'm sat at the O2 tonight and a Neil Hepper from Darlo is fighting next, seems to be up against one of team GB's medalist from 2012, any one know anything about Hepper?

Apparently fought at the Arena last month.

Looks like he has won 5 out of 7 fights.

Went to the bar and missed him. Got beat with a body shot 1 min 57.

To his credit he was in black and white shorts with Darlo across the back.

Thought Quigg fought well last night when he finally got going but I'm more excited about Anthony Joshua. I don't think he'll struggle to out-achieve Harrison and seems a great kid, just hope he doesn't promise much and deliver nothing a la Price.
