Does anybody know what time the Joshua fight is on Saturday night & where will the fight be on down in the town centre?
Program starts at 5pm. Normally in the UK the big fight starts round about 10pm to fit in early evening TV in the US.
Thanks I just need to find somewhere that is showing it now in the town centre?

I have actually booked this 1. I don't normally bother but it has me quite interested to see if AJ can come back or is he a spent force.
I do hope if he loses again he walks away before he gets badly hurt because he has been rocked a few times.

I'd be amazed of he loses again, I'm sure he won't be taking Ruiz so lightly this time.

Not so sure. He has been clipped a few times and gone close to going face down. When a big guy hits you it has an effect no matter how good a boxer they are.
I think it more depends on AJ's mental attitude. Does he really want it or has the desire gone? I know a few have now come back to win it twice, but the size of guys now is frightening. Ali and Cooper would be dwarfed by some of the guys about these days.

Just seen on Sky news that "ring walks" are at 8.30pm. I reckon that means a 9pm start.

Watched the weigh in last night.. The most startling thing to me was the 2 photo's of AJ.
This time round he looks mean and keen. Last time fat and lethargic.
Made me think more than ever he went in with a bad attitude last time and totally underestimated the guy.

Comfortable win for Joshua, he did everything he needed too, but it certainly wasn't a spectacular fight.

I had to laugh a couple of times during the fight. The commentator was literally drooling at AJ's performance yet Johnny Nelson used to get booed out of the ring and told he stank the place out for doing exactly as AJ did last night.
Thought it was a very clever performance from AJ. Not once did Ruis look as if he had actually hurt him despite the octaves going up a few times when Ruis threw a punch that landed.

Happy to hear Ruis admit he made a mistake with the weight and that he should not have gone up a stone as he gained no strength but did find it hard to carry round.

Will they "get it on" a third time as Ruis said? I would doubt it at the moment. I think that Wilder etc will be more happy to get into the ring now AJ has been shown to be beatable.

Ruis was embarrassingly overweight. I was surprised that he didn't run out of gas before the end of the fight. I guess that was because Joshua didn't put him under much pressure, with some big punches.

So what do we think will happen in the Wilder v Fury fight on Saturday evening. I'd love to watch the fight but at £25, that's too rich for my liking. Can't see it being on in any pubs in town, as no doubt it'll be on at a daft in the morning.

I am watching it. Like him or not, Fury is 1 of the fighters that puts bums on seats as he is exciting to watch.
Think Fury will wear Wilder down and take him out about round 9-10.

Very disappointed that the fight is not on BBC5 Live. Apparently it is on Talksport.

Would love to see Fury win tonight but my gut tells me Wilder will knock him out, especially with that extra stone in weight 😵 Hope I’m wrong though.

Wow sounds like a fantastic fight & win for Fury, we shouldn't have doubted him. Can't wait to see the fight on TV when they do re-runs. Who will he fight next Wilder or Joshua, that's the big question?

Don't think I could have called it much closer. TF was even more destructive than I expected early on. The fight was won by the 3rd round.

I see the papers are bigging up a Fury v AJ as a 200 mil fight for this summer.

Fury in 4-5 if it happens.

Good to see Troy Williamson from Darlo retained his European Light Middleweight title tonight on BT sport. Darlo got loads of mentions & the commentator even mentioned Troy lives with his family on the Firth Moor estate. :)

The great & ugly this coming evening.

The great will be Dubious v Joyce showing on BT sport & not via the Box Office. Should be a really good fight which I expect Dubious to win

Than the ugly as Mike Tyson returns to the ring at over 50 & this is on the Box Office. I can't believe anybody would bother to pay to watch such a bizarre fight.

It can't really be described as a "fight" Pete. It is in the contract that they must not try to knock each other out, (or so I read somewhere). I certainly would not watch even if free.

Well for the first time ever, I am buying a fight on SKY, as there won't be any pubs open to watch it in. Hopefully being out of the ring for a year won't count against Joshua.

Thought Joshua was very impressive last night, some mighty upper cuts would normally have ended the fight much earlier against a lesser mortal than Pulev, But he was outclassed. Bring on Fury, can't wait for that one.

I pick and choose which Sky boxing I watch and I did not decide until the first fight had started that I was going to watch the full night.
First comment, the undercard was poor by comparison to some of the free nights we have had the last few weeks. Compared to the women's night about 3-4 weeks ago Turgid would not be too strong a term. The only 1 who really impressed was Okolie, who must surely become world champion soon.

AJ? I was not impressed as you Pete. How Pulev managed to finish round 3 was remarkable. Sadly, (my opinion only), a true champion would have taken him out in round 4, but, (again, my opinion only), AJ still has Ruis on his mind and that stopped him going for the kill.
Rounds 4-8 had few if any real highlights nor did AJ look like finishing the job early during that period.
certainly the uppercut was his match winner and in the end he did what was required against a strong willed man.

AJ v Fury? Despite all his saying he wants it, if he has any sense whatever he will stay away. Fury will take him out inside 2 rounds unless he gets rid of the Ruis fear inside him. If can do that he will have a punchers chance, but I still see Fury taking it in about 8 rounds.
.
Ps, the disgraceful way both fighters threw punches after the bell not once but twice should have them both fined massively. My boy got involved in amateur boxing in his youth and the first thing he was taught, and had pumped into him over and over was that boxing was all about self control. Both lost it last night. I know that Pulev threw the first after the bell punch both times, but that actually makes AJ the worse for reacting.

Thought the card was awful to be fair.

Hughie looked better in spells than previously.

Okolie I’m not a fan of.

Joshua 100% still has Ruiz in his head. Fury would play with him.

Decent fight next weekend between Canelo and Smith.

I get that My Sky bill is £100 a month and an extra 20 quid for BT sport as well, and that does not count my mobile phone which costs an extra 15 quid. I think the extra we pay for the likes of the Joshua fight is a tad OTT.
I sometimes wish they had a "Pause" OR "opt out" for a month or so as I watch very little when the rugby season is finished.

Have you tried getting BT Sport direct from Sky? They offer that now. And it’s often cheaper if you
Phone up. I effectively got it free, as I was paying 30 a month to BT. Called Sky who added the Channels through them, have new contract with it all on for 40 less than I was originally paying. So worked out well for me.
