Is advertised very clearly on the trains as

"HotSpot:
fast, reliable, wireless internet."

I have paid £6 for 3 hours of internet in order that I could go on BBC website and stream the England game.

I have managed to watch probably 5minutes of actual moving play since the game started due to the horrendous connection. I end up 10minutes behind play waiting for it to load so end up skipping.

Am I in any position to say that they are not giving me what I paid for - I can barely even get onto the uncovered website without it timing out on a connection and saying the server is unavailable.

So frustrating, and even more annoying is I will be on the same train this time next weekend so will miss the Final as well as I certainly won't be paying for this type of service again!

How fucking stupid do you have to be to think you'd get the necessary bandwidth on a mobile, public connection to watch live streaming video?

You beggar belief lo36789, you really do.

...i did expect that could be too much, and I was prepared for that BUT...

i atleast thought I would be able to get the text update service on bbc news! and the 13minutes it took to refresh this page seems a bit extreme!

Another low for lo!

It's for business men and their vital emails that are so necessary that their companies would implode if they weren't permanently connected to their office. Even I know not to use train Wi-fi and I know naff all about computers!

Shame we don't have a stupid smiley!!!

Oh and kiss your £6 goodbye lol

And the weather has been shite as well!

It was optimistic to expect to be able to stream, but otherwise you probably have grounds to get your money back.

Aye you'll get your money back if it's not even working on normal sites. Whether writing the letter/going through the complaints procedure is worth the effort for £6 is another issue....

In many past dealings with Virgin Trains, if you are prepared to wait, and resend emails several times, they are one of the more generous companies with refunds.

Missed a Virgin Train, because my connecting Virgin train was late once! 5 emails to various departments, and got a full credit card refund, a refund for the taxi i had to take (i had the receipt) and a voucher for future travel (£25 quid I think). Took them a month to do it though and endless faxes and calls

Persist and they will give you something, unlike SKY who are useless moneygrabbng b******s
