Re: Football Hooliganism At West Ham - Millwall
Makes you sick that Luton get sent into the s*** and these wankers have been causing problems for years.
If anyone deserves to get sent down into the depths of hell it's Millwall.
No excuse for the actions of some of their "Fans".
"No one likes us, we don't care".
Well why don't you just fuck off then?

All too preditable, sadly. Knew it was coming as soon as I saw the fxiture.
Easy way to cut it out - ban visiting fans at any future West Ham/Millwall or Millwall/West Ham fixture.
Problem solved. Next.

Thing is, most of the violence took place outside of the ground. Not to mention away fans could easily get in the home end.
Re: Football Hooliganism At West Ham - Millwall
Funny club millwall, i know in the 80's and 90's their fans were one of the worst around then seemed to calm down afterwards- their behaviour at the FA Cup Final was exemplary and not a single arrest. Bet it doesn't help with films like green street glorifying the violence between the two clubs.

So because of some of their fans the club deserves to be sent to the depths of hell?BishopQuaker wrote:Makes you sick that Luton get sent into the s*** and these wankers have been causing problems for years.

The violence is sickening but why should real fans be punished for other fans idiocity?

Re: Football Hooliganism At West Ham - Millwall
I've twice been watching Darlo play in London and Millwall have turned up, when we weren't even playing them. When we were in the Conference & played at Fisher Athletic, they just beat up anybody who then thought was a Darlo fan. The second time was a 3rd reply in the FA Cup at White Hart Lane against Orient. Millwall turned up just to cause trouble, the police were really scared of them.
Re: Football Hooliganism At West Ham - Millwall
Unfortunately if there is a mass crowd of them, there's not too much a small number of police can do to stop them.

I'd keep the Millwall fans in the ground for at least an hour after the game. Then let them out in small numbers with a very heavy police escort. I'm sure that the police will be able to call up large amounts of reinforcements from all over the capital.

Its an utter disgrace. Throw them both out of the competition and give them a fine.

Supporting DARLO might be a heartache but it's a heartache I chose to have.

Apparantly millwall had their ticket allocation cut in half, so that can't of helped matters.

Re: Football Hooliganism At West Ham - Millwall
Problem with that is the people involved in the violence wouldn't really care, they'd just move on to the next fight. They simply use the clubs as a way to take sides in the violence!Darlo_Fanatic wrote:Its an utter disgrace. Throw them both out of the competition and give them a fine.
Punish the clubs all you like it wont get rid of the problem.

Fine the fuck out of them both if both sets of fans are kicking off at each other, causing problems for the Police and generally being piss poor excuses for human beings.
The FA need to show that this kind of behaviour isn't tollerated any more.

Re: Football Hooliganism At West Ham - Millwall
Fact is, if people want to fight, you cannot stop it entirely. I have had the "pleasure" of sharing a railway carriage with the Chelsea hooligan element (on their way to Boro a few years ago). Truth is, they are a step ahead of the game every time, and the police can only ever play catch up.
On this particular occasion, the Chelsea mob had travelled by train, London Euston - Manchester - Thornaby (Then a Taxi to Boro). Because they knew the police would be all over Kings Cross, York, Darlo and Middlesbrough.
Unless you can prove the club are in some way at fault, then punishing the club is pointless. A man who is perfectly capable of travelling out of his way to give a stranger a kicking... is not likely to care about a points deduction. More likely that the points deduction will become a badge of honour. ("We're so hard the FA gave us -10, you only got -3")
I say that in times like this, we wheel out the water cannon and tear gas. Neither is any more brutal than the fight these bastards want!

It's out of order obviously, but people blow it way out of proportion ffs. I'd like to know where all this extreme hatred for football violence has come from.BishopQuaker wrote:Fine the fuck out of them both if both sets of fans are kicking off at each other, causing problems for the Police and generally being piss poor excuses for human beings.

Re: Football Hooliganism At West Ham - Millwall
The extreme hatred comes from ordinary people, doing a LEGAL enjoyable pastime (watching their team play a football match) feeling threatened by others.Bovver Boots wrote:It's out of order obviously, but people blow it way out of proportion ffs. It comes from innocent ordinary people being caught in the crossfire.
it comes from dad's who have to walk their kids through potentially threatening situations just because they have been to a match
It comes from old blokes ending up in hospital because they wore a football shirt.
It comes from the fact that people have left to go to watch what should be a good sporting event, and never come home.
YOU CANNOT JUSTIFY FOOTBALL VIOLENCE. END OF STORY.

This game was always going to be scum-magnet. Next time ramp up the riot squad presence and even send the army in to kick the sh!t out of these pricks.

Re: Football Hooliganism At West Ham - Millwall
It has always puzzled me why people get involved in football violence or any violence - is it the "respect" (fear) they earn? I would love for one of these knuckle-dragging neanderthals to put forward a coherent explanation.

Re: Football Hooliganism At West Ham - Millwall
The only point I can see he is making, is that it is blown outof proportion a lot of the time. The media do sensationalise it quite a bit, and a pub fight that could have happened anywhere is immediately a "riot" if the two people have been to a match...
The police also blow things out of proportion. We have all been to away games where the police presence has been excessive...
BUT in the case of the police, it is for the safety of the fans. In the case of the media, its because it sells stories.
HOWEVER what I cannot understand is the last line "I'd like to know where the extreme hatrid of football violence has come from". Thats as good as saying, "I can't understand what people have against hooliganism". In which case I recommend he visits a shop thats been smashed up, or some kid who got hit by mistake, or a copper who has had a brick thrown at him.

If it's all the same to you I'd much rather live in a world where I could go to any football game in the country without the fear of leaving it in a body bag, thanks.Bovver Boots wrote:It's out of order obviously, but people blow it way out of proportion ffs.
