Club Accounts 19/20

Post by super_les_mcjannet » Sat Feb 20, 2021 8:35 pm

The above are now out.

Always takes a while to read through and take in, however under the circs the general feel from the write up is that we ended up in a decent enough position as of 30th June considering the season was curtailed due to Covid19.

The cup run and money seem to be what helped us turn in a decent enough balance sheet, as you would expect.

I'm far from an expert at reading accounts, but it looks to have been a good year financially speaking. If I understand correctly, the figure of a small operating profit of £14k excludes BtB, which seems to me to be a decent position. Obviously we had the cup run in there, but then didn't sell any players either, unlike the previous year. I'd take from that we need around about 100k more than the club ordinarily generates currently to compete as we are at this level? Which I suppose is the challenge for the owners with regards to BtB, as we can't rely on cup runs or selling players every year.

Overall, it shows the impact of a good cup run. Hopefully the relatively decent position at the end of 19/20 has set us up to come out of this season in an OK financial position. The cup runs this season will have helped in that regard. Am looking forwards to the fans forum on Wednesday to get an update on this

Very good state to be in for the club, show,s that we have the right model in place along with an excellent C.E.O
and board.well I'm happy with that.
A very difficult season with all that is going on, we will be in a good position to play start of 21/22 season .all good.

Found it, thank you. All in all very positive, and hopefully left us in a good position to asorb the impact of this season's shenanigana

Agree the summary is well presented. It is right to apply as we have done for the Winter (should that now be Spring!) Survival Loan to keep all our options open. However, I did wonder if the package when announced was dependent on the season continuing? No doubt we will get an update on Wednesday.

Very well presented accounts the BBL will have helped plus i believe you now have up to ten years to pay it back.
