However, I do not believe that players/management are permitted to carry out training sessions whilst on the scheme, so any use of furlough would have to be timed appropriately.
Marine players were given special dispensation to train as they were participating in an elite competition. Otherwise by law they werent allowed to.
Furlough wasn't really a concern as Marine players weren't contracted. They've put a few on contracts since. As means they would be able to negotiate a transfer fee.
