All I remember about Mardenborough is that he would run with the ball like the wind but was unable to put in a cross to save his life. Was better for us in the later years of his tenure when I think he was played more as a striker

In his final season for Darlo when he played as a striker I think he was brilliant to watch. Remember away wins at Shrewsbury and Scarborough when he looked unplayable. And then we sold him for next to nothing. I think he is a really underrated Darlo player . . Hence my username.

He had just bought a new house in the Darlo area too as he wanted to stay,
