Quaker TV Broadcast Format

I watch the broadcast of our matches on my desktop PC using a 21" x 12" (24" diagonal) HD monitor. I prefer the clearer, smaller broadcasting format as used by Alfreton & Guiseley. Quaker TV seems to take up most of my screen (when not set to full screen) and seems a little blurred. Is it possible to adjust Quaker TV to get a smaller, better quality format? Perhaps I'm just being thick and can't work out how to do it. Any advice appreciated.

If you are thick I'll join you as well as when I watch the game on my TV with the HDMI cable link to my laptop the picture quality is reduced also.

The larger a picture is the less clear it’s going to be unless you also increase the resolution by the same amount - hence the advances in HD/4K for bigger screen sizes. If you’re going to watch it on a postage stamp in the middle of a small screen anyway then even in low res it’ll still look like a clear picture

Pretty sure QTV broadcasts in 720/1080 so the resolution should still be pretty sharp on a larger screen unless

A) resolution is temporarily reduced due to a drop in bandwidths at the QTV end or:

B) your internet connection isn’t great and it’s downscaling the resolution

There’s usually a resolution setting on the video player that’s set to auto to limit buffering if the speed drops - you just get a slightly inferior picture for a while. Could be worth forcing that to 1080 and see if you get a clearer picture and it then buffers.

I have noticed quite a difference in PQ based on the way

Laptop > HDMI and Chromecast both give a great picture. Casting via Apple Play is unwatchable on my TV and using the smart TV browser is also poor. Unfortunately due to the large amount of variables involved it’s sometimes a case of trial and error.

Thanks I do understand some but not all of the above much appreciated.

I watch on my 65" SmartTV through Chromecast & it's a really clear crisp picture.
I am certainly not a techno , I guess it's trial & error & I got lucky.

I cast from Samsung tablet to Samsung curve without any loss of picture quality. Qtv is spot on.
