I had the impression that Mark's fundraising had a 0% charge? I chucked a quid in for funding. I was reticent to buy Saturdays match but I'm sure I read the profits from viewing will be split between the teams. If so I'll buy in-anyone else see this?

It is the FA Cup so the revenue from streaming will be split between the two clubs. Not sure if the FA also get a cut but hopefully several thousand will buy the match.

The club got everything that was raised, Go Fund me do charge though but that didn't impact what was raised. So well done to Mark.

Yeah profits are split for the game, bought mine yesterday and all ready to watch on Saturday. DJ has advised we are making quite good money on the streaming service that we provide and hopefully can clear a few grand on this one also.

Are the rules about no replays still in place for the First Round ? If so is it extra time and penalties or straight to penalties after 90 mins.
Purely an academic question as I believe we will win in normal time of course.

THere are no replays this season Rule 10 (e)
(e) In the Competition Proper:
(i) when a match is drawn after 90 minutes, an extra 30 minutes shall be played (of two equal halves of 15 minutes).
(ii) when a match is drawn after extra time, the winner shall be determined by the taking of kicks from the penalty mark in accordance with the procedure adopted by the International Football Association Board.

Yes. It is split in the same way that gate receipts are in the FA Cup.

I'll go for 4-2-3-1:

Saltmer

Mcmahon
Hunt
Storey
Liddle

Wheatley
Holness

Rivers
Reid
Campbell

Charman

I'd be a little bit surprised if we went 4-4-2 although it worked really well against Curzon.

bench

Minter
Watson
Laing
Hedley
Hudson
Maguire
Levi

Close enough to what I'd go for. If Hatfield is fit enough for 60 minutes then I'd put him straight in for Holness, at the expense of Levi on the bench.

No Mcmahon today, Hedley at RB, did well against Curzon 👍

No Hatfield either but Atkinson is on the bench.

1-0 Darlo, Campbell

You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That was the sort of disciplined performance I didn't think we had in us. Well done all.
"At a meeting held at the Grammar School on Friday last - Mr Phillip Wood M.A., in the chair - it was resolved to form an Association Football Club for Darlington and neighbourhood. The opinions of those present were so unanimous as to the desirability of this step, that a committee was formed to complete the organisation of the club, and Mr Craven, 17, Garden Street, was appointed secretary pro tem." - The Northern Echo, Monday 23rd July 1883

What a bloody team we have at the moment. Brilliant top to bottom. Charman utterly brilliant, campbell so clever, midfield was sensational throughout, hunt such a good signing. So gutted we couldn't all be there, but so delighted with that result and performance.

The boy have come a long long way since the first game. A lot sharper and a proper team effort.

Although Campbell got the goals I would give MofM to Charman. Great team performance with big players to come back/in.

Up The Darlo. Let's all have a DISCO

Absolutely fantastic effort and to go one better than last season against higher opposition is just brilliant! Can't wait for the round 2 draw now!
