Yep. Bit rubbish that. Unlikely to make it on the telly, likely to get a walloping.

Free shot. In relegation spot currently bit like ourselves! Bet they are more worried than we are.

I don't know. Chance we'll be one of the Sunday coverage games. Exciting for the players. Great stadium. Was there for our 1-1 draw under Dave Penney.

We said the same thing about Walsall away, and that turned out to be a great day.

Take it for what it is, a good chance to challenge ourselves against a league club.

Could’ve been a sexier tie but nothing we can do about the draw.

Suppose we could get some cash from streaming if Swindon aren't in a position to do it (and since we'd split the proceeds, even if they do)

Including the Sunday vignettes there are 16 live games. Just counted the likely TV ties. There are 11 'sexier' ones than ours. I think we'll be one of the Sunday ones.

Of course. They'd be more worried if it was our place I think. Although, given everything is in an empty stadium, maybe not.

Doesn't feel the same this year, does it?

Sexier than the clash of the railway town giants? Never!

A chance to topple former Premier League giants in the Mark Cooper derby - if that isn't a sexy cup tie, then I don't know what is.

I have a massive feeling Ipswich town Vs Pompey will be one of the live games - two former winners.

Under 'normal' circumstances it would probably be considered as a bum draw but these are not normal times. Nice ground, pitch and against a team not in the best of form - for them a banana skin, for us a free shot just like Walsall. Although we may not have the points on the board in the league yet, it has felt like we are beginning to get into a bit more of a stride and because of the awkward preseason and opening fixtures focus has been on making the club money in the cup. We can win this tie!

Richie Wellans is their manager. Lee Power, who the highly successful Terry Butcher had at Sunderland for a bit, is their chairman.

Lads. Don't get too downhearted at the prospects of playing Swindon at the County Ground. I might live just 45 minutes away from Darlo, but have been a STFC supporter for 60 years or more and am well used to defeats by non league sides in the FA cup, in fact one almost expects it. Macclesfield and Eastleigh spring to mind as defeats in recent years, so Darlo have nothing to fear, especially now that the 'Ginger Pele' [Eoin Doyle and top scorer in all 4 divisions last season] is no longer there. Town are going through their mid season slump early this year, but no doubt will eventually end up in the League 1 comfort zone. Saw the Town play at that fancy stadium some 15 years ago - possibly more Town fans there than Darlo supporters! [can't recall the score though]

Townender you beat us 2-1, but we got a draw at your place. I crashed on a mate's floor and had a few amazing Bishops Tipple Wadworth ales. Good times.

Agreed it is slightly tougher than Walsall - they were a struggling league two side not league one but regardless let's just enjoy it.

I am surprised people think it has any shot of being the TV game though.

Tonbridge Angels v Bradford City
Maldon & Tiptree v Bristol Rovers
Eastbourne Borough v Blackpool
Eastleigh v MK Dons
Borehamwood v Southend
Hayes & Yeading v Carlisle
FC United v Doncaster Rovers
Hampton & Richmond Borough v Oldham

All the above are lower league at home to bigger clubs. Oldham, Carlisle and Bradford City and Blackpool are all ex tier 1 clubs as well which adds to it.

Hayes & Yeading v Carlisle
Hampton & Richmond Borough v Oldham

They are the ones I would probably put above the others. Only because Maldon & Tiptree got focus last season and FC United have a nice ground so it doesn't look as lower league as others.

Eastleigh and Borehamwood my choices for upsets.

Nice one townender. Must admit I have a soft spot for Swindon as I lived in Shrivenham/Watchfield while my dad was at the military college there back in 99/00. Went to one game during that season (think they were in administration) and have a shirt from the time with Nationwide on the front. All the best for the remainder of the season apart from the cup match against us of course!

Not downhearted with the draw. Surely when you are a non league team playing a FL side in the FA Cup is what you dream about. Sure there are easier ties we could have had but I have a feeling we can cause an upset.

There is some cup history pre-history really. We won there in the cup in1965 when Jimmy Lawton starred we swapped him for Alan Sproates after the game. Not literally but it was canny business.
Not an ideal tie but as Gps points out we said much the same about Walsall. I think we can bring Swindon back too.

Not that I'd want us to get through in these circumstances but their league match has been postponed Vs Accrington due to Covid cases.... wouldn't want a bye surely?!?
