Kidderminster Saturday October 10th
Kidderminster Saturday October 10th
Goes without saying we really could do with winning to put some points on the board. According to the latest news on official website Charman should be fit and Campbell and Maguire will have fitnesses tests so hopefully the injury situation is not as bad as we feared.

Not sure we are quite at the stage of "could really do with winning".Old Git wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 7:23 amGoes without saying we really could do with winning to put some points on the board. I expected to lose against Fylde, a point from that game would have been a good result. I've always thought that a draw against Kidderminster would be a respectable result as well, it is winnable but certainly not that disappointing if we don't
That is admittedly based on an assumption that they still operate with a decent budget.
Leamington, BPA and Curzon were where I really expect us to start getting points in October.

Curzon have signed a number of decent players recently and should be stronger than last season so no pushovers.lo36789 wrote:Not sure we are quite at the stage of "could really do with winning".Old Git wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 7:23 amGoes without saying we really could do with winning to put some points on the board. Agree with Lo only 1 game in so no 'Must Win' games yet. But I suppose the mantra for competing at the top of any league is ' win your home games', then if you pick up draws on the road so be it. Didnt expect anything from Fylde, playing a FT team away midweek is always tough. But more than happy with most of what came out of it, a battling defensive performance, some good saves from Saltmer.Old Git wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 7:23 amGoes without saying we really could do with winning to put some points on the board. Sounds fairly promising if Charman is fit from the start and one of Campbell or Maguire can make the bench and be fit enough for 20 or 30 minutes then we should be strong enough to give Kiddy a decent game in a 4-3-3 / 4-5-1 with Hedley, Hatfield and Wheatley as a midfield 3 and Donawa, Charman and Rivers as an attacking 3.
Also the last game of Armstrongs 3 game touchline ban I think? So will be good to have him back on the sidelines for the FA cup game v Tadcaster.
Looking forward to another good watch on Quaker TV.

Having seen them in preseason they were awful and were knocked out of FA Cup at home to a team in the division below.QUAKERMAN2 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 8:01 amCurzon have signed a number of decent players recently and should be stronger than last season so no pushovers.
I don't expect them to be a pushover but equally it is a game where I would hope we would pick up a point or three.
Re: Kidderminster Saturday October 10th
Do we ever pick up anything at Curzon Ashton?!
Good news about Charman being fit. And NE Sports News suggesting there might be someone coming in too

Never meant to suggest that it is a must win game but that it it would be a great boost to get our first win of the season.

Theo Hudson has just signed on non-contract terms, 20, ex-Leeds Utd.

You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

Is this just incredibly bad luck or down to poor strength and conditioning during training and before games? Just can’t get my head around how much bad luck we’ve had.

We've got to be looking at the pre-match preparation because this can't be just bad luck

In control until the equaliser, but we've been woeful since then. Look so far off the pace

This is dreadful
Re: Kidderminster Saturday October 10th
Hedley certainly does look like a weak link in midfield. Clearly not match fit yet.

Re: Kidderminster Saturday October 10th
Well beaten, no complaints.Midfield very poor, thought Amantchi looks useful but really missed Hatfield and Campbell today.Donawa , Rivers and Reid also had poor games.Need to get these injuries sorted but early days and no need to panic just yet.

Re: Kidderminster Saturday October 10th
Piss poor all over.Never been a threat.Reid and Hedley in midfield are a disaster.
Re: Kidderminster Saturday October 10th
Probably the worst performance I've seen since Armstrong came in. Very lethargic, with no real ideas of how to break Kidderminster down. Charman was isolated, and the midfield just didn't work. We badly missed Campbell and Hatfield. The worrying thing was we didn't look like we were desperate to get back into the game. Perhaps it's down to tiredness - we look undercooked.
