Having seen this , which looks brilliant, i thought could this be another revenue stream for the club, we have sold hundreds of replica shirts this season,
would it be possible to have the shirt you've already purchased embossed with the name and number of your favourite player.
machine costs don't look to bad, just a thought.

Re: Squad numbers
I have never understood the Science (or Maths) behind squad numbers. It all makes sense until after Rivers. Why do we have a number 77 and number 44 etc?
Re: Squad numbers
Probably because 4 and 7 are already allocated ...

Re: Squad numbers
Does it matter? It’s just a number.bga wrote:I have never understood the Science (or Maths) behind squad numbers. It all makes sense until after Rivers. Why do we have a number 77 and number 44 etc?
Sometimes it’s personal significance to the player involved.
Bigger things for us to be concerned about than the fact someone wears 44 for us.
Re: Squad numbers
You've probably never understood the science or maths behind squad numbers because there is no science or maths behind squad numbers.
Let's be honest, some of the classic numbering is actually pretty illogical: why have left backs traditionally worn '3' and centre midfielders '4' for example?
On the other hand, Ivan Zamorano wearing '1+8' and Sean Reid having a number that is the sum of all the positions he could possibly play in any one given game makes perfect sense to me.
